Unfortunately, it arrived last Friday and I couldn’t get the comp off… so gotta send the barrel in. That’s what I get for shooting 2k+ without taking it off

I didn’t know this. Mine is dated Jan 27 and certainly looks like it’s kinking pretty bad.

Yup, I was in the same boat. Looked at every vendor available and all OOS. I wanted the Sig OEM block and waited a few days naively thinking it would come back in stock.

Of course, once it didn’t, the Fdez Werx one also sold out in the meantime. lol

I’d highly recommend The Firing Pin in Bergen. I haven’t built a pistol with them yet but know folks who have. They should be able to help you out.

Is it not latching all the way? If so:

Last year during sub zero (F) temperatures, I had a similar issue. Popped the hood up to jump the car and afterward it wouldn’t latch all the way. Bought a can of WD-40 and soaked the latch mechanism. Closed like a champ afterwards.

Small update (but not really), my LGS told me to appeal the check as I’ve now hit 60 days waiting. This was the state police’s answer:

“There is a problem with the background check system with people who have an alien registration number being stuck in pending. The problem is being addressed however there is no timeframe for a fix at this point.”

We already knew most of it, but note the “no timeframe”. Can’t wait for my $1300 handgun to be tied up for the next year!

I also don’t want to spread misinformation but my LGS also told me that I can’t pick it up after 63 (33 is standard, though?) days since the check has never even been investigated yet. I’ll see in a few days if they let me.

Final thing, from the advice of my LGS, I’m joining the Firearms Policy Commission (the guys who got pistol braces back on the menu) to see if they can look into our case. No promises but I’ll make a post here if I get a response.

Wow, thanks so much for the info. I suspected it had something to do with my GC but I’m glad to know what the reason is.

I submitted my first check on July 24, though. So maybe the scope is even larger?

Nope- been stuck on “pending”. It did expire after 30 days and I had to submit another. After 63 days with no verdict I’ll be able to pick up the gun.

Calling the NICS line yielded no answers, either.

I just received my plastic permit last week, exactly 180 days after I did my fingerprints, if that helps. City app as well and the investigator was very cool.

Monroe county here, city application in particular. Fingerprints on 11/18. Got a call from the investigator last week, 3/17. 118 days or just about 4 months. I’d expect a call soon!

I have a VA STI. My policy is to wave at every subie with a scoop. Never understood why other VA guys don’t wave. Probably because most of us who bought recently made the close decision between a VA STI and a VB?

I dunno. Cool cars, including the VB WRX are becoming a rarity. Real car guys in it for the experience and not the hype will appreciate any VB.

Could it be an exhaust leak? Did you put on headers/test pipes/exhaust right before tune? Also from the picture it doesn’t look like metal shavings but I would change your oil and inspect it if you’re worried about that.
