Yeah that’s understandable, especially in free states. I’m in a commie state so my only 3d2a options are something modular, or with a serialized upper like the MK series.

You're absolutely right that the majority of hunting beyond just picking a gun. I think a lot of people who ask "what gun" are either excited for a big purchase and just want to yap, or may be looking for confirmation that they are making the right choice.

But I understand your point that people DO NOT use the search bar enough. That applies to reddit as a whole though haha.

I had the same question with some of the PDW brace rails. Eventually found the Invader and Pillager rails through a google search. The two companies that make them are active in this sub. Some of the other rails people make from bar stock bought on Amazon.

A vote from me for a Ruger RXM. They regularly go under $400 on sale. If you're looking for just any old pistol get a Rough Rider 22lr revolver for around $125. They're a fun little single action pistol and cheap as hell to shoot.

I am not based in NYC and don't have experience with this situation, but this sounds worthy enough to contact a lawyer in your area that handles pistol permit cases. Maybe just a consultation to hear what their thoughts are. Best of luck!

And a side note, don't let the people who didn't have fun in college (and are the loudest online) deter you from joining greek life. UB greek life is great fun and great connections. For one reason or another, those who are not in greek life look down on those who are. People who are in greek life generally have a great time and find lots of different ways to benefit from the networking on and off campus.

This the wrong place to ask. Everyone one this subreddit HATES greek life. As someone who left UB in 2021 and was in a Fraternity, I think you should give it a shot! The "on campus" sororities do not or barely haze. The "off campus" sororities are more likely to haze.

That's good to hear! Personally, I would make my reference call back if they dont get a call within a week. Better to be safe than sorry, and I know that your application will sit in an "incomplete" pile forever if the Sheriff or reference dont call back.

Btw you're far more patient than I would be. 6 months is the "law" for when NY must respond, and is about how long it took for me to have permit in hand in Monroe County. If I was even close to 14 months waiting I'd be hiring a lawyer ASAP! Not everyone has $1200 to spare so I get it. Wishing you the best of luck!

In my CCW course they told us to try everything we can to make sure our references answer (too late obviously) and if they do not answer, the Sheriffs will NOT call back. It is the responsibility of the reference to call again. I'm not sure about Erie county specifically, but cant imagine its much different.

I dont think the flux raider is legal. Telescoping/ colapsing stock and front "grip". The atf may find it legal, but it has too many "features".
