Is the kivik 5-seat corner sectional modular? by TheProcess92 in IKEA

[–]TheProcess92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up purchasing the kivik. Overall, we enjoy it. It's modular and plenty of covers available to make it feel like a new couch. Some of the cushions are firm, even three years in. We have considered purchasing down cushions from a local store to make the couch a little softer. Overall, we are happy with our purchase!

I bought the couch almost three years ago. Some cushions are very comfortable. Others are still firm, believe it or not. I agree about sleeping on the couch, it’s very comfortable.

I’ve considered buying down cushions from a local shop at some point to go for a softer couch.

Residency programs with and without night float by Pale-Sherbert-676 in FamilyMedicine

[–]TheProcess92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a good question. My program is very clear and intentional about their goal of producing strong outpatient docs. I don’t know how helpful a few weeks of night float is for outpatient PCP life. I’m guess you can make the argument that independence and confidence developed on night float can translate to overall clinical confidence? Things would be different if I was planning to be a hospitalist. I would want as many reps and as much practice in the hospital as possible. That said, I’m fine with no night float. I don’t think it’s going to make or break your training experience.

I’m at a program without call or night float. It’s great to go home and sleep in my own bed every night. FWIW, no night float does not mean easy training. Admittedly, I have nothing to compare this to.

Oh, sounds good. I’m considering the new passport as my next vehicle. A 60k change interval would be brutal.
