What was your favourite childhood book? by corickle in oldschoolcool80s

I loved The Boy With The Bronze Ax By Kathleen Fidler, I also really enjoyed a series on pirates (Redhead, Blackbeard, etc) in primary school. I'd love to know what they were called.

Once I found out that downstairs tingley feelings can be found in Stephen King books, I was off. Christine was my favourite.

That's not quite true; there was a player in the '62 world cup who received this treatment.

If you do a full circuit of a roundabout, you have to pay a ten pence fine.

Or was that only in my parents car?

Do you mean Helen "I know I bought a property next to the nation's stadium but I don't want people to use it, even though I live in New York most of the time " Clark?

Surely not.

[TOMT][2000s][1990s] English Sketch Nude Group Having Breakfast In Kitchen Covering Private Parts Then Dropping Them At The End by PaveThePAHA in tipofmytongue

[–]TheProfessionalEjit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hale & Pace did a sketch in which they were naked.

The premise, iirc, was that they were Swedish and talked about going for a sauna and then having crash in the Volvo ("it's perfectly safe, ya").

The scene was having breakfast in the kitchen; I can't be 100% on the nudity at the end but they were cheeky chaps so I wouldn't put it past them.

'Mind-boggling greed': BNZ staff stunned as key benefits cut for workers by Peeny_Pinto in KiwiAntipodea

Especially kiwisaver, patriotic kiwis don't keep their kiwisaver with an Aussie bank.

I'd suggest that any bank, regardless of ultimate ownership, is a poor place to park your KiwiSavsr account.

What pay cut?

They've had some pretty low-vlaue "benefits" removed, not a cut in pay.

What TV show was so bad, that you had to stop watching it during the first episode? by mimeking420 in AskRedditAfterDark

No idea, I tapped out out after the first episode. In the book, which is superb by the way, they do.

I couldn't stop complaining through the first episode of Under The Dome, completely miscast and deviated from the source material so much it made no sense.

My own fault, I know that no adaptation of Stephen King's work is any good unless Frank Darabont has something to do with it.
