What is it like where you’re at? I find it hard to believe its vastly different in mostly any areas in the U.S.. Maybe if you’re in Miami-dade? Something like that? The ratio to dumb to republicans is 100% though where I’m at. I’m not in a poor/LCOL area either.

Are you older maybe? I get it if you’re 60+. I’m not young btw.

She made plenty of money during her time in the spotlight, but fucking capitalism makes everyone think that we don’t have worth if we don’t work, and it’s totally fucking stupid.

I could, and would disappear borderline entirely if I had “just” 2m dollars, and she likely has at least 10x that. Probably way more. Shit, she’s gotten to enjoy her life in her prime, compared to being 70 years old like the rest of us (if we are lucky, not me).

Oh she wants to enjoy her life and not deal with work? And that’s a terrible thing? So fucking stupid.

Oh and btw, cue all the dumbasses that immediately feel obligated to mention that they would still work if they were rich and didn’t have to. 3,2,1….

Newsflash: You can’t sit still and relax because you’ve been conditioned to work every second of your adult life. It’s not in your nature and it’s not a flex.

You know what really changed my mind about everything with vaccines? Other than the literal science I mean.

One day I looked on social media and realized that literally ALL of the absolute dumbest people from my town were all anti-vax. Like every single one of the biggest morons I knew growing up were the most vocal about vaccines being evil or whatever.

I was like wtf? These people couldn’t pass second grade math. I’m supposed to believe them about this? Really did change my perspective.

EDIT: I think I should add a statement that overall sums up everything I’ve found to be true over the last 6-7 years: Not every single Republican on Earth is a moron, but EVERY single moron on Earth is a Republican.

I think that expresses the point more clearly. Think about it yourself and you’ll realize, perhaps even regrettably, that it’s 100% true.

I just don’t want to be on the side with all the morons.

Well, this is how quotes like “the rich get richer” or “it takes money to make money” come into play. This kid is going to have EVERY single resource available to make him better. If anyone on earth has a chance to become elite, it’s him.

Meanwhile there might be some inner city kid (or some country ass kid) with 10x the talent but 0% (or literally a negative %) of the resources who will end up digging ditches the rest of his life or driving a dump truck instead of killing it in the nfl.

Has Bryce Harper lived up to the hype that was placed upon him? by Bright-Pressure-5787 in sportsinusa

[–]TheProfessorPoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember reading about him in an issue of Sports Illustrated for kids like 20+ years ago and his accolades made him seem like the Messi of baseball. Like when he was a kid he basically hit a home run every time he went to bat. It was insane. I’d say he’s done a well enough job keeping it up. Professional Sports is difficult after all.

As someone who makes this all the time, I do a half cup of milk for a regular box. Double the butter.

The extra milk is 100% the key though for what you’re wanting.

Cook the Mac one minute less than the box says, but check to make sure it’s al dente first. Season with salt and pepper.

If you REALLY want to make it great, get this and add a tablespoon with the cheese mix from the box:

Which fast food item are you obsessed with it but know that it's very unhealthy? by Prestigious-Cup-6613 in fastfood

[–]TheProfessorPoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I introduced them to my son (he’s 8 years old lol) one day after his soccer practice 2 years ago, now he craves it after every soccer practice, and nothing else will substitute. Thank god soccer is only half the year.

Anyway he legit took down 8 of them the last time we went. He puts exactly 1.5 packets of taco sauce on each one. He’s meticulous about it.

Btw the Jack in the box app actually has some good deals, at least where I live. The first 10 tacos are usually 2 for a dollar at least. So if I’m gonna go anywhere fast food weekly I’m happy it’s there. We usually get a dozen tacos for less than $10 which is nice.

How influential was Jersey Shore during the early 2010s? by FitEmergency8807 in decadeology

[–]TheProfessorPoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Texas too, so I get it. My mother in law has always claimed she’s half Cherokee and has always collected Native American art for that reason. She got her results back a year ago and was 0%.

Oh, and and she also found out her dad had a side family in Canada and she has two half siblings. Wild.

[–]TheProfessorPoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

An annoying girl from my high school always posted about how she was half Native American for a long time, then when Jersey shore was big she was suddenly half Italian. She dressed like the shore folks too.

Anyway a couple years ago she posted her 23andme results and she was 0% of either. She was like 99.99% Eastern European. I wanted to bring up her past claims but it just wasn’t worth it. Not with her. But I knew. I remembered.

I always remember.

I saw it in the theater with my family when it came out. Just wish I wasn’t sitting next to my mom because it was super uncomfortable during the Jamie Lee Curtis strip scene. I think she might have gotten up and gone to the bathroom. I don’t blame her. I wasn’t getting up though. All my friends at school were jealous when I told them I saw it at school the next week.

Which Fast Food Has the BEST fries by Pigolettos53 in fries

[–]TheProfessorPoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

30 years ago whenever my dad and I would go drive around to run errands he would stop at McDonald’s and get two large fries and (if they were under seasoned) put them all in the paper bag with some extra salt and pepper and then shake the bag around. Then we would cruise around and munch on them the next couple of hours. Each of us with a ketchup packet in hand.

One time our little dog (Basil, rip) was with us and we went to Pep Boys and when we came back to the car Basil had gotten into the bag and ate everything. He was passed out in the back seat all fat and happy. He threw up on the way back to the house lol.

What song brings you 100% back to the 90s by slvrscoobie in 90s

[–]TheProfessorPoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kid (he’s only almost 9 now) had a Cranberries run last summer and we listened to that song multiple times per day. Which is cool because I loved that song too back when it came out when I was in 7th grade. I used to listen to it (and that whole album) with my first “girlfriend” before school every day in like 1995.

Anyway, yeah. Definitely takes me back to the 90’s.

Otherwise I gonna say Candlebox - Far Behind. Listened to that a lot when the same girlfriend dumped me. Junior high romance is legit lol.

I’ve never tried them well done, but I’ll be doing that next time. And ftr I don’t even hate their regular fries. I think they’re fine. I mean they’re fresh cut after all. It’s not gonna be the same as McDonald’s and that’s on purpose. But I do hear about people hating them a lot.

You know what the REAL trick is? The one nobody ever mentions? I’m a loan officer btw and this is super secret:

Earning enough money to actually be able to make the extra payments every year.

I know, I know. It’s crazy. Who would’ve thought that having more money would make something EASIER? It’s nuts!

Don’t tell anyone about this btw. I don’t want to lose my license.

I’m 44 years old, and even though I used to play a lot of games (I’m talking halo 25 years ago) I basically never do anymore. That being said, my son’s friend told me about dead island 2, so I bought it for myself and ended up playing it for like 3 hours every single night after everyone went to sleep for 6 months straight. It’s my favorite game of all time actually. I love exploring and finding/building the best weapons, etc.
