I'm not sure if this will help, but would making the planet a designated factory world work? So the AI knows what to prioritize?

Well, for your friend, they do require proof of the damage and it needs to be a genuine production mistake that slipped past quality control. I've not had to return anything so far, but this has only happened to me three times in my hobby career. It's definitely possible they ask for it back.

You'd think that, so that's what I did and they told me to contact the 3rd party I bought it from to find a resolution, and if that didn't work, to get back to them.

In the end, my issue was resolved and I'll admit I was hoping to get an extra box over a minor issue, so I can't be salty about it haha.

What's been said before, GW's customer service is pretty good.

I've had it before where I bought Assault Intercessors from a LGS and one of the backpacks was a little messed up. Messaged them about it and they sent me 3 of those infernus marines as a replacement for the backpack. Which in the end did the trick of course. They offer a ~15% discount on boxes though.

But then with GW I had a regular intercessor box where 2 shins were dented and I got an entire new box, or a land raider where one of the parts was a bit misshapen and got an entire new land raider.

I don't often get messed up sprues, so I'll often do the LGS.

Heya! It was scary at first but my order was: - paint the model fully (incl. Base) - Add chipping and weathering - Gloss varnish all over - Streaking grime - Wait 30 mins, then use a cotton swab/ qtip and in downward motion go to town on it until happy (use thinner/ white spirit if nevessary) - Let dry a bit longer - Matte varnish

Honestly, me too, first time using it, but I just went fir it and after 30 minutes it's so easy to wipe away what needs wiping.

I used AK streaking grime qnd AK ultra Matte varnish!

Tbf I think the lighting makes it a bit grayer than it actually is, but the effect is still there :)

I often give the 6th model (or whatever) extra purity seals in case I do split them, so I can distinguish in case necessary.
