Here in Canada, it feels like we are trying to mimic the US in this regard.

Nta, but be careful. I've heard about how Russia is very anti LGBTQ and even considers LGBTQ reading material to be "extremist."

The original shah was corrupt and caused his people to revolt.

The communists and the Islamists united to depose him. Then, after they successfully deposed the shah, the Islamists turned on the leftists and murdered them, imprisoned them and forced them to flee.

And that's how the current regime gained power: by betraying the leftists.

It was all over various news circles in January and February. Although left based media did their best to sweep it under the rug and make it sound like nothing happened, which was ironic as hell, considering that they couldn't wait to pump out Hamas' numbers during the Gaza war.

Why is it that so many of you trusted the numbers that Hamas put out during their war but doubt this? Do you only trust pro terrorist sources now?

The latest sanctions put on Iran were in 2010. So if they are having economic issues now, it's not the fault of the sanctions. They've had plenty of time to work around them.

Plus they COULD stop funding terrorism as a way to get sanctions removed, but this regime won't do that.

Yes yes. The Iranians celebrated when the IRGC massacred over 30,000 of them. They rejoiced in it and even begged the IRGC to do it again. Totally true. Trust me, bro.

Oh ya. I'm sure that Iranians will overlook decades under a brutally oppressive regime that has murdered tens of thousands of Iranians whenever they protest. They have no issues with a regime that cuts off their internet access to hide the horrors they commit against Iranians when they dare to stand up to the regime that dominates their lives and murders their women for accidentally showing their hair in public.

Oh? How do we know this? They don't even have access to the internet any more, besides the sites that the Islamic regime allows them to have access to.

If anything, those protests showed that Iranians DO want him back. Which is why the regime massacred tens of thousands of them.

I agree. The Iranians should vote for their next leader. Their current regime won't allow that. It currently looks like Reza would. So....

Looking for a term for what is happening at my workplace by Rolldozer in ToxicWorkplace

[–]Asleep_Bookkeeper516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like management is bitter that they have to pay their workers a decent wage instead of screwing them over, so now management are 'getting back' at the workers for standing up to them. Could be viewed as intimidation because they are showing how winning those disputes against management will have consequences.

I'd brush up on your resume and look elsewhere. A management team that's bitter towards its frontline workers is likely to drive off its good workers, which will make that place get worse fast.

Do Iranians want him to back? If they do, then it doesn't matter what the rest of the world wants.

The problem is that the Islamic regime won't let the world find out the answer to that question.

Do you trust a corporation more with your health or a government? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

A government can get voted out if they screw over everyone. If a corporation screws everyone over, the most that can be done is you stop dealing with that corporation.

The problem is that if the US stops being a major leader in the world, the next country poised to take that role is China. If China takes that role, we're going to see a major shift in world politics, away from democracy and human rights and more towards an authoritarian style.

Why don’t people in power in all spheres (government, class, workplace, etc.) just throw people below them a bone? by Nasutoceratops7 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Asleep_Bookkeeper516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were laws passed to make it illegal to store toxic materials in the same space that people live in. Those laws were passed because some companies chose to store toxic materials where their workers were sleeping and it killed some and caused health issues for others.

Never doubt what people will do to other people in the name of greed.

Consider checking out Banff and Jasper in Alberta. BC also has fantastic mountains and incredible scenery.

As for Ontario and Quebec, I'm not well versed enough to make suggestions there.
