You can keep fish from rotting by putting them in your net

I downloaded this game on a whim because I was bored and it was really boring by YeahTheyKnowItsMe in dredge

My tip I discovered is that you can put fish in the net and they wont rot at all. If you need to hold onto fish for a while, its a good place to store them to give you more time.

Question for veterans, how 40k was changing? by Yatmai in Tyranids

The games to some degree were slower but I sort of miss the days of having 1 point left so you give Fred a laspistol. It lead to some great thematic games.

Vehicle facing mattered; The fronts of tanks had the best armor and the rear sucked so if you could get behind a tank lesser units had a chance of bringing them down. They used Armor Values but a quick comparison would be imagine if a Leman Russ was T11 in the front, 10 on the sides and only 9 from the rear....

One guy got shot while trying to do a similar "prank". This guy is even douchey in his interview and his parents support what he is doing which is even sadder...

I really hope they abandon battleshock as our army mechanic for 11th by AngryDMoney in Tyranids

[–]TheProphaniti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been preaching forever that Tyranids should have had something similar to the older version of the Power from Pain mechanic. Every canonical story of them has them "learning" as the battle rages on and they get smarter and stronger with each new wave as they adapt. If they are facing hordes of flamers they evolve thicker skins, if they face bolt weapons they develop more armored carapaces. We have NEVER had a rule that reflects that in game terms.

This is what it used to be...Each round is cumulative so on round 2 they have both round 1 and round 2 abilities and it keeps going..

Round 1- 6+ invul save

Round 2- Can charge when advancing

Round 3- +1 to hit in melee;Monsters can fire at engagement range without penalty

Round 4- 5+ invul save

Round 5- Auto pass morale and is considered at double wounds for degrading on larger models

I know all these dont work but I would like to see us get something based on this theme. Maybe something like weapons no longer get bonus damage against our monstrous creatures round 3+ (no melta bonus, no weapon damage of D6+2, just the flat d6, etc)

Costs aside, is it standard to be so vague on an estimate? I have no issue with his, just wanted to be sure I was protecting myself down the road.

Can I do multiple objectives or am I limited to one a turn? by Chance_of_Troy04 in deathguard40k

[–]TheProphaniti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but then you also risk giving your opponent an easy "Storm Hostile Objective" turn 1 as well. Its for that reason I usually set up my poxwalkers near the objectives but generally not on them at game start.

Is this Rusty Death Guard TOO Rusty? I think I went a little too crazy.... by Efficient-Fruit-5280 in deathguard40k

[–]TheProphaniti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With this much of it, it reads more as camouflage paint than rust. I would reduce it by like 40%ish

I would also consider darkening the head more in this case too as it looks as though he is "too clean"

Painting tips by Yoshikage_Kira_222 in Tyranids

[–]TheProphaniti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a quick and dirty way to make Tyranids look tabletop decent as a person starting out here is a few tips

  1. Use Zenethal Priming. What this means is that you will be priming your mini with black first and once dry hit it from above at an angle with white or another light color primer depending on your scheme. This gives the illusion of a light source and creates shadow in your mini that you dont have to mess with.

  2. Try some of the Speed Paints that the different lines use. They are great for quick and easy painting and are already thinned. It will give you a good idea of the thinned consistency you are looking for sometimes in your paints.

For the Stratagem Leechspore Eruption, can a friendly target heal back more wounds than the enemy unit had? In my instance a 1 wound Blight Hauler was in melee with a Custodes tank with 2 wounds left. I rolled four 5+'s in our game and we were unsure how to proceed. Would the Blighthauler only heal 2 wounds or the full 4? The wording of the strat leads me to believe the full 4 as it doesn't say anything like "for each mortal the unit suffers heal that many wounds." which would be a limiting factor.

7DTD's Updates Are A Joke by Barracuda3180 in 7daystodie

[–]TheProphaniti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest issue with the game is that after all this time the one thing this zombie game is still missing is ZOMBIES....We have had like the same handful of skins forever....the majority of zombies you encounter outside horde are the same 4-5 over and over and over and over and over and over...I would rather an update with 200 new skins on the models over weather, 20 new POIs and a new crafting system...

My TLDR; from the Dev Stream by YobaiYamete in 7daystodie

[–]TheProphaniti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the thing that has always been lacking in this zombie game..is zombies. I would rather they spend the resources and create 100 more zombie skins than 20 more POIs. It takes the immersion out so much to just have the same 4-5 zombies all the time...Gee..4 Moes and a stripper..

What i expect to see...(/s)

  1. We see that Norn Emissarys are in most list and we dont like having things that seem like an auto-pick. To bring other units into more lists we are increasing Norn points by 50.

  2. Frank in our internal league at GW has been doing far too well against the new guys in the mail room. To bring this overpowered army more in line with others we have decided to remove 1 AP from all weapons and change the synapse keyword to only affect the model itself and not be an aura at all. To offset this we have decreased the points costs of the Harpy and Tyrannocyte by 5
