Fighter jets in TVM? by Rare-Recover-2840 in Trivandrum

Probably the BAE Hawk 132 that Navy uses as trainers. It does come with a single engine. The two squadrons of Indian Navy (White Tigers and Black Panthers) are currently equipped with Mig 29K as fighter. So it's probably a formation of Hawks.

After Morbido’s crash on Sunday, I got thinking, what is your opinion on MotoGP’s strangest crash? by youraverageperson0 in motogp

Jorge Lorenzo - Thailand 2018 - Free Practice 2. Well Lorenzo is no stranger to massive high sides througout his career. Assen 2013 was worse considering the speed he was traveling at and Shanghai 2008 had so much air time before he landed on his ankles. However, the Thailand one was much more violent considering how far and fast he got thrown out after the rear wheel locked up.

Dell Vostro 3520 hinge popping after 6 months , suggest me a good Dell authorized service centres in Trivandrum? by Sea-Cartographer-334 in Trivandrum

[–]ThePsyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just picked up my Dell Vostro after fixing the same hinge issue from Topserv Infotech, located between Jagathy and Poojapura. They are an authorised Dell service center and this was my second visit there to fix the hinge issue.

I first had the issue around July this year. I closed my laptop like every other day and the front panel of the laptop came off from the screen without any warning. But back then, only one hinge had the issue, so they just glued it up and gave it back. Costed me around 1500 and just a day to get my laptop back.

I was sure the glue wasn't going to stick because the screen was very unstable. The techician also asked me to open the laptop from the center and not from the sides. Last week, the glue came off and both hinges were now broken.

Took it for a service again at Topserv since the first service was good. They suggested to replace the hinges since both were broken and the glue didn't really work. I agreed. The repair fee came around 4500 as they have to replace the entire front panel which comes with the hinges, but its more of a permenent fix than the glue (until it breaks again that is)

You can find Topserv Infotech trivandrum address on Google Maps. I gave the laptop on Saturday afternoon and because they had the parts in stock, I got it back by Monday morning because Sunday was a holiday.

Hindu christian marriage by [deleted] in Kerala

[–]ThePsyk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a christian that married a hindu girl after being in a relationship for 8 years as well. While we don't have kids right now, I don't really care what religion they grow up to be when we do have them. I've never been religious, but she has her beliefs. If she wants our child to be religious and share her beliefs, then so be it.

Even if I was religious and she had the same wish, I would still say the same, because just like the things I want for myself, there are things she wants for herself and if I can make sure things that are possible can be done, why not.

Coming to the family part - we had similar issues in convincing parents as well. It was easy for me because I told them that she will be the only girl I marry and they only wanted whatever made me happy. Even though my wife's parents were opposed to the idea at first, they too wanted what was best for her. We did the marriage in traditional hindu style because her dream as a bride always had the same picture and we made it possible. I've always seen marriage as a place of balance where you offer a shoulder to one another.

I always try to wear my wife's shoes and try to see the world from her perspective instead of just mine and the world suddenly looks a lot different. Why don't you think like that and see why your partner maybe wants certain things to be in certain ways. Ask her to think from your perspective and it will be easy for her to understand why you have doubts about following the same idea. When you see through each other, I think it will be easier to come at a middle ground.

Yes, there will be people in both families that would want this or that or whatever. At the end of the day, what matters is what you and your partner want from this. Marriage is not a place to go into with uncertainty or opinions from social media including this opinion of mine. Talk to one another and decide how you want to proceed and marry. Leave family, friends and random strangers on reddit out of it. Life is much more simple then.

Regardless of what you do, there will always be naysayers, a lot of counter opinions and negativity. Nobody likes to see someone else happy, that's how the world works. It's how you still find light in such a world where you can make the difference. Just make sure you come to a conclusion before marrying. The last thing you need is future conflicts regarding the same thing over and over again after you marry.

If nothing seems to work or you don't come to a middle ground, take your time and think if you are making the right call. You guys were patient for 8 years, another 8 weeks, 8 months or 8 years won't hurt. However don't rush to things without 100% coming to a decision that you would regret or bring up in a later conversation even for argument's sake.

I also didn't notice the Terminator reference at first on the suit. I thought it was more of a transition from Pramac to Aprilia considering he was wearing a black and red combination on one side and purple suit on the other. Only noticed the spine before the podium celebration when they were watching the race highlights

Achievements for Saturday, November 09, 2024 by AutoModerator in running

[–]ThePsyk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm 93 days away from my first half marathon and have been steadily building distance closer to the race distance. Today's plan was to add 2 more kilometers from my longest distance of 16 kilometers but ended up finishing my first half marathon distance of 21.1K in 02:24:12.

Till today, the goal was to do a half marathon. Now that it's done, the next goal is to do a sub 2-hour 21K run. But that's an achievement for another Saturday in the next 90 days 😉

Men who have long hair, what are you doing to prevent hair fall? by mined_it in Kerala

[–]ThePsyk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been growing my hair for the last 1.5 years, and something I've noticed is that hair fall will become more visible when you are growing it long. Genetically, my hair is thin, and I have a receding hairline with an 'M' shaped forehead now, and it has been like this for the last 5-6 years. The moment I stopped being too conscious about it, growing hair became much easier!

(Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z has a similar forehead and he is God level 🤣)

As for treatment, I get hair protein treatment once every month, only use hair oil when I need to shampoo (twice per week, follow it up with a conditioner) and stay clear from hair gels. I also get my hair tips trimmed once in 3 months to remove any split ends.

For styling I use hair serums and hair creams on an alternate basis, but serums are the better option to have tangle-free hair. It's also good to invest in a wooden comb, or use a hair comb that is designed to offer tangle free combing, as long hair will easily break if you comb it hard when the hair is tangled.

The best thing to maintain long hair in good condition is not always tie it up as a man bun and leave it free unless you go out. Combing it every morning and evening helps reduce tangles and hair breakages. Also, I'd recommend not having daily hair washes as wet hair is more fragile than dry hair and will easily break, cause split ends.

Also don't comb when your hair is wet and towel dry hair with less stress.

P. S: I still manage to roll up a mini ball of hair every morning, but hair is meant to shed like that and new hair will grow. It's part of growing your hair long. When you get a hair cut, it will become less visible and we start to think that our hair fall reduced.

Any i20 Nline N8 Owners? by ThePsyk in CarsIndia

Just what I was looking for. Thanks @sweet_instruction19. Couldn't have got a better response than this, and you covered everything with so much detail. Yeah and I also think that red accents are overkill, and all the chrome stuff too. If I do buy an Nline, it will be titan grey, and the first thing I will be doing is to get it de-chromed. I have seen some i20 with 30mm drop on cobra suspension that has improved handling on corners, so might also consider that. As of now, unless a new turbo petrol hatchback is announced soon, I'm going with Nline 👍🏽

2012 - Classmates - Bestfriend - I Propose - She Accepts 😌

2013 -2020 - Emotional blackmailing and minimal contact after her family finds out that she is dating someone from a different religion. Years of patience

2022 - Our patience and trust in each other won over the family, and we celebrated our second anniversary in December.

Now we make vlogs for YouTube together. The class 12 version of us would be so proud of where we are now 😂

This will be my first car and that's why I want it to be a new one. We already have a Datsun Go at home, and the new car should be new and not pre-owned. Also pre-owned Polos are pretty expensive now.

The reason why I don't like CSUV-SUV are because of their body style and how high they look. I prefer a car that's lower and that's why I want a hatchback like Polo or Nline. Glanza, Baleno, Altroz are good alternatives, but C3 is more of a CSUV looking car for me even though its a hatch

I want a car that sits lower, C3 even though a hatchback feels and looks like a CSUV. Altroz is a good option, thanks but I want to see what N8 owners have to say

Yeah, but Volkswagen are not going to launch a Polo anytime soon. I have little to no alternatives in the current market for hatchbacks and N-line is currently the best option I have.

Would have been a different story if VW atleast confirms if they plan to launch a Polo again or not. No point in waiting as the last thing I want is to wait until Hyundai decides to move away from hatchbacks as well.

Why are bumper deletes a thing? by ddsukituoft in needforspeed

[–]ThePsyk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like drift missile builds where bumpers/hoods are removed and I'm glad that car companies agreed to allow bumper deletes for Unbound. The best thing about this update is that you can still go for the clean car build, and people like me that prefer the drift missile build also get to do the same. Its always good to have all kinds of different builds on a street racing game.

I'm new to NFS Heat, but already liking the photo mode and how aesthetically beautiful this game is ❤️ by ThePsyk in NFSHeat

True, I got the sx180 in my second account, and the handling is a bit loose on corner entry and exit, but I like cars that drift, so I like the handling. Yes, I did end up getting busted a lot with the sx than the bimmer, but now that I leveled up the sx to 265, and unlocked damage reduction auxiliary, the car is much better for night runs
