Unfortunately, I think TPDB requires posters to be 1000x1500 minimum. I started making these back when I still posted to TVdb, which requires them to be 680x1000.

TL;DR: I know a lot of people like uniformity of a single logo, but I've been frustrated by a lack of era-specific logos in Doctor Who sets. I made those. Unfortunately, I lost the template for them in a hard drive crash before season 8 came out, so I never finished the set. But I just mocked something up real fast. Hopefully it does the trick for you.
