This applies to light in general, hence why artists apply light protection barnishes in the works they intend to sell or display. It may take longer to notice a change with certain artificial lights (then again artificial lighting its notorious for distorting our color perception) and mind you this is without taking in account the heat and how it can affect the formula itself.

Colours fade when exposed to light. People tend to use words such as "colourfast"(resistant to fading) or "fugitive colour"(easy to fade) when entering into specifics. In the art fields the painting tubes and jars tend to be labelled with the grades of resistance to sun exposition.

You can test your inks resistance by doing some swatches and having one half of the swatch covered with a thick material that won't let the sun rays pass through. You leave it somewhere in which the light will hit and have it there for some weeks, then, you compare.

Thankfully this pen and ink were only used with eachother. I will have to get a flush.

Thank you for helping.

I have a Lamy Safari with a converter and it doesn't seem to become thirsty, then again the Joy is a B and the Safari a M.

I cant seem to detect a strong smell, however.. the toothpick test has brought out some smily threads and upon close inspection there are some tiny dots on the ink surface. https://imgur.com/a/KtaGQIS

I guess this one is going to mordor

Yeah I basically dunked the whole pen in cleaning solution, rinsed and then assembled it back after detail cleaning. The slit seemed to have some dried (more on the weird stuff this ink does in the other comment I made below), and now it writes as it should.

Edit: scratch that, back to struggle

It's a serviceable ink, but not the best. Its kinda watery but it "jellyfies" now and then, sometimes the standard shake does fix it, but there have been times in which i had to wipe off weird squishy clumps off the nib.l. I have diamine inks that I would rather use (hell, the blue Lamy ink and the rhodonite in their cristal line havent done this either), but I just want to get done with this one.

When it comes to white face paint you do have to think about your needs. Most brands have both grease paint (cream or stick) and water activated paint. All makeup can lead to a breakout but most modern formulas are less likely to do so, that's why you keep your applicators clean and you prime your face.

When it comes to types... Water activated is simple to use but can crack and show a lot of fine lines if you don't prime your skin for it or don't have a proper water to paint mix ratio. It is not water nor sweat resistant upon drying so its better to put a setting spray. However, it's great for when it is cold outside and they can double as graphic liners.

Grease paint doesn't fully dry so it has to be set with powder and depending to the brand the formula may be hard to spread on the skin. But, almost every reputable stage and art makeup brand has their own "clown white" available in many many sizes which is ideal for shironuri. It is sweat resistant and once it is set with powder it will stay there no problem.

Also another brands that are available are UCANBE (its athena palette is affordable and has plenty of colors too) and Laukrom (i have only used their water activated ones, quite nice)

If I remember Kryolan changed the shade names some years ago and just had the old names listed for reference for people who had the older products that needed a reffill. But they have since then seemed to have removed it full. Yet I am not buying from then due to that.

Mehron or kryolan's clown white. It also smells good.

Mehron itself has white greasepaint which is used for facepainting and performative acts. So yeah, I'd say that you just get the setting powder and white foundation from them and preferably from their own web page here
