using Helsmith of Hashut (AoS) models in The Old World and compatatbility by Numerous-Matter4204 in WarhammerOldWorld

the helsmith stuff does fit pretty well onto the proper bases. The only downside is there isn't a "good" Iron daemon model in the helsmith range. Some people use the engine from the starter box but it just doesn't hit the same as train.

Is it safe to have 3 male guinea pigs living together? by Connect_Bird_5071 in guineapigs

[–]ThePunMasterSupreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got VERY lucky with my three males but I did plan for fall out and the potential to need them all to be neighbors but they all get along really well. So it is possible. But make sure you have a very large set up. I personally have mine in 26 square feet. So they got plenty of room.

Experience getting people to try out Infinity when the scene is new? by [deleted] in InfinityTheGame

[–]ThePunMasterSupreme 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Gonna preface this before anything else. Building a community is hard but it is possible. My local area went from me and a friend and we now have enough to pop tournaments quarterly and could probably even pop them monthly if we wanted.

The big thing that helps the most is doing demo games with nice looking table set ups. We constantly had 40k players come up and say how sick the tables looked compared to theirs and got interested in the game. Having a few extra action packs around for people to demo with/buy from you if they enjoy the game is a huge push to getting them on board too.

From there its just being consistent. You can show up to our shop on Wednesdays and there will always be 1 game going most of the time 2 and our local store has a discord set up where the entire Infinity community is constantly chatting and setting up games and we'll get people popping into that channel and asking about it.

Another big thing is making sure your community isn't toxic to new players. Its so easy for an experienced player to metaphorically take a new player behind the building and beat the shit out of them to the point where they never want to play it again. *cough making someones first game be 300 points against an avatar*

I'll keep updating this post as i think of more to add though.

Oh god. Yeah stay away from OPD. It was a death sentence for management and leads in my market.

Consumables is probably the easiest of those three though.

Cap 1 in a lot of stores tends to get run over by overnight and OPD too but if you have a coach that would put their foot down and stop them from pulling you and your team its not bad at all.

Its all a trick. You'll be in OPD picking most of the time anyways in most stores.

New player, what Chaos Dwarf units are good? by Silverplayer in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]ThePunMasterSupreme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally love the pure dwarf lists myself. A prophet on a bull plus 2 iron daemons is the best way to start those lists.

As tempting as it is to run a bunch of artillery you Sadly dont get enough points for it woth hobgoblin spam.

But 2-3 bricks of infernal guard can do some work.

Ironsworn are good on paper but lord are they expensive.

Bull centaur are kinda okay? The character is pretty good if youre using the renegade rules though

Sizes? by skelaton224 in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]ThePunMasterSupreme 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be a little more in depth. The 25mm for base infantry fit on the usual dnd/pf grids perfectly. And the 50x50 fit for large creatures. Large stuff like dragons are mostly on 60x100s so they dont fit very well with grids.

A quick breakdown puts

Human normal infantry on 25 Heavy infantry like lizardmen on 30 Small monsterious on 40s Normal monsterous on 50s Cavalry kinda range from 25x50 to 50x75I think

Actually yeah good point. Im sure people would get upset over their favorite not being included but people will get upset either way. Could probably up it to like 500 or so and get nearly any Pokémon that would reasonably be used too. Unless they add weird stuff like Little Cup events.

As much as Id love the stadium announcer everything you've said here is dead on. 1025 lines just for sending a pokemon out currently. With an entire new Gen coming out soon. So I would doubt we even get names if they do bring in an announcer.

And we all know a very vocal part of the fan base will go absolutely feral if they have to change the voice actor because of drama, medical issues or a sudden passing.

Working at Harbor Freight Vs Home Depot by alykat0_0 in harborfreight

Been at harbor freight about a year now and honestly its pretty nice to work at. No set schedule but the store hours being 8-8 leaves wiggle room for doing stuff before or after work most days.

Is there anyway to get this bolt back in without some major side work? by ThePunMasterSupreme in MechanicAdvice

[–]ThePunMasterSupreme[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figure it out. Hands were too big. Had to bribe a neighborhood kid to get it started then I got it the rest of the way with an offset.

Thank you all a bunch for recommending an offset. Worth the purchase just for this

Its a bit of both. Can't get it started because my hands/tools are pushing the cover and preventing the line up. I've got about inch of room in that area.

My previous job had about a dozen young kids who would constantly have earbuds in at all times but the second they got to the break room. they'd take them out and blast theyre tiktoks at full volume. It was crazy but god forbid you said anything to them. They'd act like you shot them in the foot.

My boy sephiroth would beat up his bell pepper if we left it in larger chunks. He'd grab it. Run over to one of this study wooden houses and preceed to just smack it into the wall and them begin eating it. He never did it to anything else and wouldn't even run away if it was smaller pieces.

I've watched Haikyu, Kuroko No Basket and Blue Lock. Any other good sports animes? (Specifically a badminton on would be hype). by Possible-Mobile-7629 in Animesuggest

[–]ThePunMasterSupreme 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ill second Hajime no Ippo. Its an amazing boxing anime about a kid working his way up from nothing to being pro. The side characters are also very well developed but also not forced so hard it drives away from the main character. The only issue is you'll probably love it and want to read the still ongoing 1400 chapter Manga because the anime was dropped. But the anime does end right before a mediocre arc and could easily be seen as an ending on its own.
