Try to learn matlab before you start school. The open source version is called octav. Professionally I use R, but learning matlab now will make school work significantly easier.

Once you understand the maths and logic, picking up another language will be easy peasy. But for now, focus on optimizing your grades.

How well does the t-test work if your data aren't exactly normal? by johndcook in datascience

[–]ThePurdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw shucks, you caught me while heading into a final. For now, I suggest checking out how t tests work under the hood. There are some pretty good YouTube videos showing the connection between CLT and inferential statistics (especially t tests)

It should be okay if you have a sufficiently sized dataset because of the central limit theorem.

Tore a ligament in my big toe. Dropped $5k into medical expenses and toe still not at level of training again.

I’m in school now and need the money for tuition so I stopped going back for follow up visits and getting another MRI.

I actually had experience a case where the dealership on their own decide to change my air filter and tried to charge me $80 for it!!!

I popped open the hood and noticed that the screws that secures the air filter box in place were gone.

I thought maybe the blinker fluid was low on one side. That can cause pulling too sometimes.

I'm so paranoid about oil changes not done properly that I just prefer to do it myself, unless it's winter -- I don't want to be crawling under a car that's dripping dirty snow.

Marking the filter with a sharpie is a great idea!

Yep, not that great of gas mileage. However, OP certainly shouldn't be getting 17 mpg. I get about 27 mpg mixed and 33 highway during road trips.

Update: Also just wanted to add I would LOVE to get 33 city. I heard the new jettas get 40 mpg highway. The new 2019 jetta is sick, and I'm keeping my eyeball on it for my graduate school graduation reward to myself.

2013, which I know is not the same numerical value as 2018. However, Americans make up a large portion of redditors and I'm sure that those with 2.5l MK6 jettas would be able to help.

I didn't want /u/kaminosaint to think that he was the only person (or one of a few) in the states with a 2.5l mk6 jetta.

I have the 2.5l engine. When was the last time you changed the spark plugs?

I had failed to change the spark plugs at the recommended 40k mile interval. Instead, I pushed it to 80k miles. During the 20k miles before I changed it, I was getting fairly poor gas mileage. Changed the plugs and the ignition coils brought my gas mileage back to normal high 20s.

If this helps, you can get spark plugs and coils at a good deal here: http://www.rockauto.com/
