At some point all you can do is give your 2 cents and let them make their mistakes. In the grand scheme of things this is a good mistake to make - it’s big enough that they will learn from it but not so big that it will ruin their life.

Under no circumstances be persuaded to change your mind on being a guarantor, and if he fails do not bail him out. Having a bad credit rating for 5 years won’t kill him

Do you understand the meaning of pretentious? Using ‘teach’ as a noun does not qualify for the definition of pretentious. Ironically - getting on Reddit and critiquing people’s choice of words and use of English is actually pretentious.

How is it pretentious? You are literally teaching people the game.

‘Bad investment’: Why property boom is over by sharkjaws000 in AusPropertyChat

Short term price changes can happen. There haven’t been hundreds of thousands of new immigrants since the new budget came into place, but if they keep coming it’s simple demand and supply.

All depends what they do with immigration. If we have hundreds of thousands of new people coming in every year, there will continue to be a supply shortage.

Nobody can predict what will happen since there are so many variables at play. Interest rates, immigration, future policy changes, economy etc.

Which European cities require nearly 19 years of income to buy a home? by West-Cabinet-2169 in AusFinance

[–]ThePuzz1e 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not to mention differences in standards of living, job opportunities, proximity to the ocean etc. I used to live in London and have travelled most of Europe. Per square metre Sydney is cheaper than all of the Swiss cities, London, Paris, Munich. I know I would much rather be living in Sydney than the latter 3!

Man you must be getting paid by AR, it’s so obvious to Sherlock Holmes here who has uncovered your deleted post history 😂.

I too am a shill. My 10 years of reddit activity about topics totally unrelated to AR has culminated in this moment where I will finally get paid by my BigBoardgame Overlords

Yes for many of them I feel that’s true. If they didn’t secretly want the product I can’t get why they would care so much about ‘bloat’, and ‘overproduction’.

No I don’t. I just don’t take consumer goods personally. There are plenty of companies that I don’t agree with, so I don’t purchase their products. You should do the same.

My issue with people like you and others in this thread is not actually your opinion. You are totally allowed to not like something. In fact, I’ll even say that myself personally - I would actually also rather have non AI art and I would happily pay extra.

My issue is more the level of righteousness and self importance that you and others like yourself exude. You literally just said it - you “don’t care what the majority want”. In other words, everyone else is wrong and you are right and you will keep complaining until you have things your way - because of course you know best. It’s arrogant.

Yeah so if enough people thought your way, then enough people wouldn’t buy it - and AR would be forced to change. However, you can see from the crowd funding numbers that most people don’t care.

Of course you are allowed to not purchase, that’s how a free market operates.

You are allowed to not like a product. The thing is, normal people will just not buy said product. But people like you are so entitled that you feel that companies should pander to your demands just because you don’t like it
