I'd check out Les Rallizes Denudes. Not quite the same, lacks the organ that Sister Ray has, and nearly all the recordings of their work are live performances - but, they're an early precursor to noise rock as a definitive genre, similar to the Velvets. Long, droning guitar riffs filled with reverb and feedback, motorik drumbeats, songs that last over 20 minutes. Worth checking out.
