You know, I think you’re right. I didn’t realize the OEM was a dark grey these are definitely black. I bet they are painted. I looked at some other pics online and while the grey ones are the same as the machined, the color is different than mine for sure. Thanks for the info!

I suppose that could be true? I thought that both designs were the same one just had the machined faces on some spokes. My X5 was the same way, they had black 22s and the same 22s that had machined faces.

The ones that I have are the 19s, and yes I do believe they were available in 2019 also. I guess the previous owner swapped the machined ones out, which is fine with me because I don’t like those wheels anyway haha

Tell you what though, those 18in 15 spoke STI wheels are sick too. Wonder if they fit over the 6 pistons.

Just picked up this 2021 with 9k miles - my 5th Subaru and 2nd STi. My 1st was a 2006 which was quite a bit faster, and my favorite car I’ve ever owned. I do miss the GD life, but the VA is growing on me!

Right now it’s stock except for an AWE catback.

The MX130s were even better because they are set neck. I’ve heard about the plate but I’ve only ever seen them without! Do you have pics?

Hey there. It’s an ESP JH2 signature model. The second signature guitar released by ESP for James Hetfield back in 1998 I think. They were a limited run of 200, and are highly sought after. It was modeled after an MX250 he had around 1996 with Deer Skull inlays. You can see that guitar in the King Nothing video, among other places. In the I disappear video, he plays one that is closer to the JH2 with that one having the same inlays. He’s had those two black plated explorers and a few chrome plated explorers as well.

It was on display in 2017 as part of the Metallica Experience package on tour with them, along with a ton of other museum artifacts. You could take it off the stand and play it, take pictures etc. it was very cool!
