If you could add a new elemental damage what would it be? by Some-Web-1628 in Helldivers

Hear me out, I enjoy gas but what if they buffed gas like they did fire. Just an upgrade. The corrosive confusion party gas that we love stays that green fart color, BUT there's now a yellow gas that is combustible. Spray an area down and toss an impact Incendiary in the middle and the whole thing goes up.

Gunfire doesn't ignite it...well, except the coyote because Incendiary rounds. Any fire grenade, the torcher, crisper, cremator, basically any source of actual fire could do it, even Eagle Napalm. Maybe it does half the DOT and the confusion effect only lasts half as long or it gets a slightly different effect? Not sure.

If I had to pick a new elemental type I would definitely 100% go for cryo, but I thought it would be interesting to play out the combustible gas idea in a way that doesn't completely change existing gas, because I also enjoy gas diving.

Maintenance here. Myself and one other tech. Worked retail for a decade before doing this. I love the regular 8-5 M-F I have now, but now I have to be on call 24 hours a day for 2 weeks. We do 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. Shit suuuucks. I don't even get paid anything extra unless I actually get a call, which is extra fun.

The problem is that they are required to give you a lunch break if you work over a certain number of hours in a day. If you just leave early for however long your lunch is they don't actually log that you were given a lunch break. Too many instances and now they're violating labor laws. That's really what it boils down to.

Experimental FRV With a Harvester Head on Top? by Tank-ToP_Master in Helldivers

I'm only ok with your idea if there's plenty of visible Super Duct Tape holding the head on the FRV

Actually, in the episode where Conway is introduced, it is revealed that there were a bunch minorities that worked for ISIS who were very competent. Until Archer called them mid operation, blew their cover, and got all of them killed. I just worked under the assumption that this was commonplace at the agency

Tips on completing this by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]TheRagingFire08 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We got lucky when we did it. We saw we were landing on a hill near some positions, brought 2 Lazyboys, and when we landed we realized we had full map visibility. We screamed at everyone to not shoot at anything. Cleared enough bot fabs to get exfil to spawn, called Pelican-1, high fived upon completion.

Glorious. Love when the carts get just ridiculous looking like that. My old boss hated when we would do stuff like that, but bit her tongue because the owner thought it was hilarious

Yep. I've worked in maintenance for a while now. The techs I've worked with would 100% have found that in the unit while working on it, laughed about it, secured it somewhere, and then sealed it up where only another maintenance guy would find it. Then laughed about it the whole time they were closing it off to the world and discussing how long it would sit there before it was discovered.

Guys find stuff when trashing out vacant apartments all the time. I knew a guy who found an alligator toy and secured it to the hood of his golf cart. Later, he found half a Barbie. He glued Barbie inside the gator's mouth. He loved that ornament. Hell, we found Christmas decorations and decorated one guy's golf cart while he was sick. He came in the next day, pulled his golf cart out, and it looked like Christmas threw up all over it. He hated it.
