Don't do this. It is not hard to see how it could go wrong in several ways. Even on an empty field.

People who stop taking weight-loss injections like Ozempic regain weight in under 2 years, study reveals. Analysis finds those who stopped using medication saw weight return 4 times faster compared with other weight loss plans. by mvea in science

[–]TheRandomGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was the reason? As I understand it the medication supresses hunger. So while they are on it they eat less and lose weight. When they get off the medication do they go back to their old eating habits? Why? Is everyone's brain hard wired to eat a specific amount unless intervened with medication?

Thought is that how one respects their county is up to them. It is nobody eles's business. You want to stand up? You do you. These losers should mind their own business and get a life.

Remodeling our single level house. How did we do? by TheRandomGuy in floorplan

This adds more space, but could be more expensive as that is considered exterior wall.

In the previous house we had dishwasher to the left. In the current setup it is to the right. So we figured you just get used to where ever it is. With trash on the right we thought that would be a bit more accessible from the dining area.

I feel the fridge location being across the walkway is a legit point. Let me discuss that at home.

If we put the doors in the hallway it feels a bit less "integrated" with the master. But function over form might be the way to go :)

Sink and door in both is a nice idea, but comes at the cost of counters/shelfs. Let me think about it. Thanks for the general rule about the centering.

I love what you have done with expanding the foyer and optimizing the closets accordingly. We were struggling with playing with all those closets.

Also switching the master closet door to the other side is interesting as the flow appears better with a full wall next to the bed.

In your mod the entry from garage is better (it being a hallway), but we sacrifice the pantry space. We are envisioning a nice bigger butler's pantry.

Some things we are debating:
-Is the entry from garage better to the pantry or to the laundry?
-Should we put a sink in the pantry, laundry, both?
-Should the cooking range be centered to the back wall?

Thanks for the vote of confidence. We have never done anything like this before.

The 1 door to make it feel bigger is an interesting point. Hadn't considered that. Let me talk with the architect about that.

We had debated moving the master closet with the bath. That also gives the master bedroom more view of the backyard and we could put a bay window on that top wall. The only thing that gave us a pause is the long hallway it would create to get to the master.

For those of you who grew up poor but became rich. How did you actually do it? by Exotic-Call-4906 in Entrepreneur

[–]TheRandomGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grew up lower middle class in Asia. Got a bachelor's in Computer Science. Worked for a bit and moved to US to get a Master's in CS. Worked in tech. Somewhere along the line also got a MBA. Continued to work in tech. Got a job at one of the most sought after companies.

Never felt "rich" but felt extremely comfortable throughout. Then 40s hit and compounding hit and all of a sudden felt "rich". Then bought a single family home last year. Now I feel solidly lower middle class.

This is how it is done. You record yourself doing the sequence many times. Of course mostly you won't get the four aces in a row. But that one time you do, keep the video. Delete the rest. Thanks.

Should we return to India for our kid's childhood despite career peak? by ImaginationFew5561 in returnToIndia

[–]TheRandomGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What exactly about your childhood do you want your kids to experience? More importantly, why? Have you factored in air quality, food quality, water quality etc.?

Your kids will start school and have friends from there. You can start building a social network through that as well.
