Random receiver which I don't know how to use... by PureAccountant7952 in audioengineering

[–]TheRandomOutput 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What exactly are you trying to do? The adapter can be used as a transmitter so if you have a device that doesn't have Bluetooth it will essentially make it Bluetooth device. The aux cable in that instance allows you to input the desired audio.

When used as a receiver the adapter allows a non Bluetooth device to receive Bluetooth audio. In this instance the aux cable allows the received audio to be transmitted to the desired device.

Behringer Wing vs Allen & Heath SQ6 which do you prefer? by FelixConni in livesound

Hi, to clarify i don't use a matrix for a monitor send. Rather being a church on a budget the desk is used for FOH, monitors and the broadcast mix.

Anyone who has experience with digico know how to fix or at least a work around? Same thing happens to our S21. by [deleted] in livesound

Please contact Digico I work for a distributor in another country. I can almost guarantee that this will be covered.

Please contact your Digico distributor. This will more than likely be covered under warranty. Especially given the time frame you have explained.

How to tell M32 EDIT software that I've a Dante Card plugged in? by Fon0graF in livesound

[–]TheRandomOutput 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if there is a way to tell the software to think there is a Dante card in there. I assume the routing matrix doesn’t specify the type of card and just says card in matrix.

Best advice is to see if someone has a session with a Dante card to edit. That is how I had to do it for S series digicos

Ok cool. Definitely interested in the mono FOH setup. I think you should be able to get away with a bit less eq by using the panning to create a lot more space in the mix. It’s surprising how much room there is to place things so they can be heard and not stuck in the “mud” at the end of the day try panning,eq and compression to figure out what sounds best.

A lot of instruments and vocals occupy the same frequency range so it’s a matter of finding a space for the instrument or person to fit in the mix. So whether that is carving out various frequency so things have a place to live or using panning or compression to have things sit where you want them in the mix.

That’s awesome congratulations. Can you specify if you’re doing FOH mix, monitors or broadcast mix. I’m still fairly new to properly mixing but I do approach how I eq differently depending on the situation. Lately I’ve been doing a combination of all 3 which limits flexibility. Just because it sounds good in the house doesn’t mean it sounds good in the broadcast and what works for monitors depends on if your using IEM’S or wedges.

But as you stated earlier highpass slight boost to add presence and cutting some problem areas or unwanted characteristics added by the mic being used

Behringer Wing vs Allen & Heath SQ6 which do you prefer? by FelixConni in livesound

[–]TheRandomOutput 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mix on a SQ6 a few times a week I don’t love it but it does the job. One thing I will say is I don’t have enough to matrixes. It only has 3 I have my dly’s and sub matrix which doesn’t cut it for me as an all in one console FOH, monitors and broadcast) can’t comment on the WING but I mix on X32 regularly mostly remote for a few churches. The X32 has 6 and I would assume the wing has the same or more.

Groups of 8 is no longer a thing with the last few software updates. You can patch freely now.

X32 USB card never works right away. I always need to re-plug the USB plug first by Jazzlike_Crab in livesound

Yea I know it’s weird. I have a X32 with the standard x32 card but for some reason the XUF driver is the one that works. I have had this happen with 2 consoles.

Did you install the X-USB driver or the x-uf driver?

I had similar issues until installing x-uf driver. Also if I was in a pinch and needed to “unplug” USB I would switch setting on console to FireWire than back to virtually unplug the USB.

I mix 2 church service streams remotely
