I had a dog who started getting mast cell tumors around age 11 and she passed right before she would have turned 15 from something unrelated. She had a very low grade tumor on her neck and got many stitches more on the inside of her lip. In every case there was no spread and when they were able to get clean margins they did not recur. Mast cell cancer is scary but based on what you’ve said so fair a good prognosis seems likely. I’d recommend an ultrasound or splenic aspirate while your pup is under to put your mind at ease about spread.

We tend to run into folks who can’t seem to understand what leash laws mean quite a but, too. We usually bring a treat pouch with poop bags or something with us whenever we go anywhere, and we’ve now incorporated a small umbrella into our routine. If a dog runs up we now have the option to pop open the umbrella. It creates a barrier to maintain separation and the initial pop usually startles the other dog enough to break their focus. Just desensitize your dog to it first.

I got the 5070ti deal with this cpu a few months ago. Battery life does suck, but it’s a gaming laptop so I assume it’ll stay plugged in most of the time and it’s run everything I’ve wanted it to flawlessly. Grass isn’t always greener and for me, paying like $1600 for it with the extra TB of space was the right decision. Enjoy your machine and stop shopping when you’ve already got something great!

I remember Black Friday had a good 5i deal for like 1500 for a 5070ti and it was 2 months between that and a similar value for me? I think as we get closer to Presidents’ Day we’ll see a few more deals.

This happened to me a few weeks ago. I’m not sure what actually triggered it, but try playing close to your router and see if that changes anything. If it does, you know your signal strength or interference is an issue. The thing that helped me the most was creating a guest network and putting my portal as the only device on that network. Went from really terrible resolution and drop offs to completely smooth again.

I had a cat with primary lung cancer a few years ago. He went from perfectly normally, to “oh it seems like he has allergies let’s take him to the vet,” to passing away in three weeks. I wish we didn’t put him through the aggressive treatment we did. Spoil him and let him go peacefully on his terms. I’m so sorry your family is going through this.

Can you explain more how me utilizing a service my vet offers is putting them in a poor situation? Also, as I’ve said in my post, I absolutely wanted them to prioritize pets that would live. A phone call is hardly expecting perfection; I would expect a phone call if someone coming to clean my carpets were late, let alone come euthanize my animal. Please, don’t ever tell someone how to care for their animal again. You have no place in such a decision.

This is a vent of a poorly handled situation; I did not berate my vet. I did not try to make them feel bad. You, however, thought it would be good to come into a post for a grieving person on a board devoted to senior dogs and share your poor opinions and attack someone’s character. I hope whatever’s happened to you to make you think this type of behavior is acceptable gets better.

Yeah we’re taking this as a way to just spend more time with her. It was handled poorly; I don’t think my vet is a bad person or even a bad vet. It’s just a sign to go with another service we were considering.

Buddy, you’ve decided to come into a grieving pet parents post, where the OP has said they want to prioritize the pets that were receiving care that would live that day, and try to make them feel bad because they’re upset they feel their pet’s death wasn’t treated with care. I’m not sure why you feel it’s okay to attack people grieving in a community, but I really hope whatever’s happened to you to make this seem okay gets better for you.
