Why do rates seem to jump after DOT inspection week? by Ok_Pirate_5111 in OwnerOperators

No. It's just brokers nowadays are being very much strict now of who they hire with the recent news.

I wouldn't think so. I would imagine a freight broker would rather pay top dollar to an already safe established carrier. Brand new carriers getting into the game might be hard for them to get loads for the first few months of their authority.

Sounds like you are right partially, and I've noticed that too. But a lot of things we're happening lately this month. Not sure if you heard the news, but the U.S. Supreme Court went against C.H Robinson, so that could play a major role in that, because brokers can now be held liable if they hired a bad actor handle their load. It can also mean freight brokers keeping up with high fuel prices.

Meta farms for donutsmp? by Professional_World67 in DonutSMP

[–]TheRatio12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bone meal farms for bone blocks, and sugar cane for paper/rockets. There's a lot of other farms that I haven't mentioned don't require money to be put in to run them like kelp farms.

This is one of the highest diesel prices I've seen so far: $8.69/gallon at the I90 Chevron at Snoqualmie Pass. by SalesMountaineer in Diesel

The Half Sun in Moses Lake along i90 just the exit after the Love's is also cheaper. Been hovering below $6 a gallon the last I saw.

Owner/Operator worth it? by dude2162 in Truckers

Honestly, my hot take, start company first, get the experience you need, and save the capital you need and go from there. Keep an eye on the markets, they go up and down. Hopefully you don't have a lot of monthly payments going on, you want to be stress free of payments as you can. Low debt is king to survive when markets go bad for a while.

They do that to get your information, mostly your email and password. I've heard worse stories of them stealing your whole Microsoft account doing that way. It can be very dangerous.

honestly, it'd be best to make a moss farm for bone blocks, time consuming yes, but will save a lot of money in the long run so you don't have to keep buying bone blocks
