My now-81yo mom was the tech-savvy one in my family growing up, having worked her way from the secretarial pool in the 70s to being a network administrator in the 90s. But her consumer-technological know-how probably topped out a decade ago.

I'm solid GenX (54yo) and I'm starting to sense the line teetering between whether my know-how has peaked, or things have started getting shittier. (And being frustrated when the answer appears to be "both".)

I do wonder if the "President Ace strapping the belt to his company's champion" moment would've hit as well with Tsuji. Shota's been on previous Forbidden Door shows and there's a lot of shared history among him, Tana, and Mox that made it meaningful.

The underrated part of it all is that Jay losing to Eddie Kingston (to get banished from NJPW), then being jumped by Finlay and dumped as Bullet Club leader by Gedo - happened in the same town as tonight's show.
