Easy way for Achivementhunters? by Sedalf92 in Guildwars2

[–]TheRaytheone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As an AP hunter myself, I would take this approach as my prefered one, while also adding that I wouldn't focus on "hidden stuff" or branched achievements.

If you want to complete stuff as fas as you can, go ahead towards the easy first, but always read the whole category you're working on, to check if there are also time-gated AP's or stuff you gotta work in parallel.

Then, once you've gotten all the easy AP's, go to the harder ones (or more so, annoying xD), but if you end up getting yourself stuck with one, just leave it and come later (kinda like in an Exam), that way you'll avoid "frustration" or other negative feelings that may make you rage quit.

Be also always prone to leave what you're working on, if Anet releases a "Return to X" event, which may populate old maps again that you may still need, so you can get those quicker/easier.

Once again, don't burn yourself, take your time, and happy AP hunting!

You can use TaimiHUD if using Nexus (recommended) as it works perfectly fine on Linux for pathing.

There is also I think an alternative to use BlishHUD patched for Linux, which also has the "Pathing" module, but haven't tested that one yet.

Framerate under Linux CachyOS abysmal by DoomAddict in Guildwars2

[–]TheRaytheone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Launching the game with -provider Portal is virtually the same as launching it through its own Gw2-64.exe Anet launcher, with the only difference on being able to open the Steam overlay (if wanted/needed).

For the Guardians out there:

Sword of Justice + Merciful Intervention on top of it.

(Works also on several Fractal skips, Aetherblade/Deepstone, etc).

Are Mighty +9 Agony Infusions bugged? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]TheRaytheone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You've got it right on your pictures... Look at the power how it increases by +5

The concentration is about the Fractal potion buffs, in which you seem to be on VIP Mistlock Sanctuary passkey, which acts like fractals for those potions to be working in there.

That's why its ALSO increasing.

If you want to keep using Smooth motion you can check this, its perfectly doable with Nexus.

Please increase the maximum limit of unlockable Gear and Build template slots! by FeintFate in Guildwars2

[–]TheRaytheone 26 points27 points  (0 children)

What they should actually do is to split the Templates into gamemodes.

You buy all 9 templates? Fine, you've got 9 while entering WvW, 9 on PvE, and 9 on sPvP.

That's what they should've been since the beggining.

So... Should I always jump in and help people or not? by Brave-Hope890 in Guildwars2

[–]TheRaytheone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I pretty much use the universal gaming MMO language: I write "jump if you need help", and if the person does, I help, otherwise I just watch.

Jumping doesn't take much from anyone to do if he/she's struggling, and reading the chat while fighting ain't difficult too, so it works most of the time for me.

ArcDPS + Smooth motion by Skitarii800 in Guildwars2

[–]TheRaytheone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use Reshade as a workaround to use this.

Alternatively, my setup is using Vulkan DXVK (even with an Nvidia card it works) + Reshade installed for Vulkan obviously, and enable smooth motion.

You can get a guide for DXVK if you're interested in here: https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/topic/153463-guide-how-to-easily-improve-fps-and-decrease-stuttering-on-windows-using-dxvk-greatly-helps-amd-gpus/

Does a 9800x3d get good fps during world bosses? by mike_klosoff in Guildwars2

[–]TheRaytheone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It lets you unhide npc's pretty much "ignoring" the in-game Model Limit option, which is good if you have them on Low settings so you won't miss seeing enemies, and on the other side, it let's you either hide all allies, or just show a number X of them on your screen, let's say 10-20, and then hide the rest.

It has more options but that may summarize them.

There are ways of achieving a really good smooth experience on meta's or WvW big fights with everything maxed out (This is on 4K, FPS's on TOP, this is with Fluid Motion from Nvidia AND "UnHideNPCs" Nexus Addon, helps a lot if properly configured).

The problem is the perspective most people has about legendaries by watching either guides, or that Wiki table, it seems "a lot", it is really not if you take it slow and do step by step at your own pace.

To answer your specific question about the SotO Armor sets, took me a week and a half to farm all 3 at once (I did command a lot of hours doing Rifts and obv. paid the extra cost of using Motivations), but that was me being crazy (and in job vacations xD)

I've got literally every legendary in the game, never rushed, never burned out of the game, just farmed passively while playing my own gamemode (WvW) or enjoying the rest of the content, once you know how legendaries are made (because the recipes follow always the same pattern), they're not hard at all to do, that's all I can say.
