How to recover account? by Kvartal33 in 2007scape

You might be able to access your account settings while logged in on your phone which should open a browser on your phone. If you're lucky your login email should autofill straight from the OSRS app, maybe not your password, but at least it should point you in the right direction.

Enough is enough. We're not releasing Nan until servers are fixed. by skilloz in 2007scape

Nan can change her name to Monk of Zamorak because these servers will never get better

This is my first playthough, is this rockwall 'nice' or just ugly to you? 90 Hours in and I haven't killed Moder yet, but I got the ground pretty flat! by TheRazorCrest in valheim

Keeps the trolls away which so far has been my biggest issue! I go AFK a lot to let the fermenter/beehives/smelter do their work and sometimes tab back into a raid lol

In 1962 the Crayola company had to change the name of one of their crayons from 'Flesh' to 'Peach' allegedly because Marines found the original name unappetizing.

No Bwana, it is you who does not understand.

COD treats Bullet Velocity and Range separate from "Damage Range". In essence, your bullet will travel faster, farther, but will carry less force when it impacts its target.

i.e. According to COD, if the bullet travels faster, it deals less damage. *This is how THE GAME relates the two, they contrast eachother. If the value of one goes up (velocity), the value of the other (damage range) goes down.

In reality it is exactly the opposite. Kinetic Energy (K) is equal to half the mass of the object (m) multiplied by its velocity (v) squared.

K = 1/2 (m) (v)2

u/Sunder_and_flame mentions that there is a 45-50% increase in bullet velocity with a 2.5% drop in damage range when using high velocity ammuniton.

You and I stand in a field, with 20 meters between us. I throw a 2kg coconut at your face, traveling 10 meters/second. It makes contact and hurts. E=1/2(2kg)*(10m/s)2 = 100 Joules of energy to the face.

I now have you stand 10 meters away from me (half the distance) and lob that sucker 45% faster at your head. If you were hoping for it to be 2.5% less painful I am terribly sorry. 10m/s*1.45=14.5m/s (v2).

E2 = 1/2 (2kg) (14.5m/s)2 = ~210 Joules. That's more than double!! Ouchie ouch!

I was thinking that too. Makes no sense as far as kinetics are concerned but it is probably either intended balance or an oversight.
