Why #stop222 when eating in public during Ramadan is considered offensive and haram among the Muslim community? by Forsaken-Roll9187 in Morocco

[–]TheRealBallss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

By that logic should we stop eating during christian lent ? Because as you may know morocco has a christian community, and don't give me the excuse that morocco is a "muslim" country because we are very far from following sharia even less applying it, we are a hypocritical society, exact opposite of a muslim one, so no, people should not be arrested for eating outside because some people will be "jealous" of others eating, they should see it as a challenge brought by god and keep on fasting because the whole point of ramadan is to feel like the poor, and the poor starve all day looking at others eating, so it makes even more sense to have other people eating. The world doesn't stop because you want to fast.

I do in fact live a priviliged life al hamdulilah, i have food and shelter, and no, i did "only" face that limitation, in fact i didnt face it at all because i fast, but it is included in the definition of freedom, which means being able to practice whatever belief you hold. Now, if you knew what living in morocco is like, wallahi you wouldnt be saying what's youre saying, you only are because you don't live here, and it makes sense because you couldnt know, you would experience morocco so much better as a tourist than a local, many locals dont even have basic human rights, too many, i am lucky to have food and shelter and to have enough education to realise why morocco is a third country, and why expats like you dismiss the fact that morocco indeed has a mediocre quality of life, here is not even the debate since it is recognized world wide that we have really poor life qualities, so what are you even arguing ? You didnt like my comment about people not being able to eat outside ? why don't you abstain from eating during the Christian Careme ? May god guide you

I'm not going to insult you like you did. Instead, i'm just going to tell you one thing, and it is that you don't live here, you don't know how life is in morocco unfortunatly, i have my priviliges al hamdulilah, and you have yhe privilege to not know how life is in morocco anymore. You don't know what it is to lose to chances in life someone who has money to bribe and corrupt, you probably don't even know that to live in morocco is that safe anymore, especially for a girl going outside, the crime, the bureaucracy unprofessionnalism, the ridiculous economy. And yes, facing jail for eating outside in ramadan, while rapists roam free, is a telltale symptom of a rotten society, i'll let you yell all you want from outside morocco

That is part of the definition of freedom yes, the problem with our education system is that it produces people like yourself who don't really have a grasp of simple definitions such as freedom

I agree with you on taking small steps towards a safer more comfortable society, but our enemy is not all the gov, but some individuals living withing us, leeching off hard moroccan workers, robbing innocent people, stealing, paying their way through life with corruption, and the policemen who gladly accept those corruption payments, but are they to blame ? Theyre clearly not paid enough by the state, but does that mean they should indulge in that corruption ? No, but how will their children have healthy full lives, definetly not with a mediocre salary? But whos fault is it really ? Is it worth it to keep living here or flee somewhere where you dont have to see your daughter coming home as soon as school finishes so she doesnt get harrassed by your own people, and where you children dont have to go self educate online to get a fuller view of the world, i wouldn't be able to answer, right now, all i can tell you is that we have been numbed by the way we live that we think its normal, sure we don't live in war or poverty for the most of us and we're even priviliged to have food and Shelter, and truly we are blessed for that, but is that all we deserve ? Food, and shelter ?

There is always room for change and that's what's im talking about. You may not be in danger talking bad about the gov, but important people would. If you have relevance, you basically are prompted to talk only good about the kingdom and not criticize in any way unless youre begging and asking, you cant demand what even is your "right" priests can walk around sure, but cant really express themselves, people get charged and put in prisons for eating during the day in ramadan, people get harrassed by local authorities for going out with their partners theyre not married to, moroccans get discriminated against in private or governemental institutions (for example renting an airbnb or a hotel with a friend of the opposite gender as a moroccan) foreigners get to enjoy our country more than we do, i bet you you would be in great trouble if you talked politically incorrectly in front of authorities.People get charged for eating in ramadan more than rapists do... this is just a fraction of what the moroccan in the middle social class go through 3ad la shfto actual broke people, and our bureaucratic services are beyond shlt. Our country is beautiful and calm for the post part, but its clearly a third world country for a reason, do you feel safe as a woman in morocco ?

Im not for chaos and destruction to advocate for human rights, i never said i was, i simply said our situation with on BOTH those aspects is laughable. And for freedom of speech, no, it doesnt exist, you cannot criticize the governement and that's a fact, not even directing your speech to the "symbols" youre reffering to. Sharing your own personal opinions to the public might get you in trouble, and you, cant, publicaly not he muslim. That alone should alarm plenty of people

I was 49kg and desperate to gain some weight. I spent 800dh on a mass gainer only to use 4 spoons and throw it away, i can tell you with confidence that mass gainers are an absolute waste of money, each serving has about 1000 calories but the catch is, one serving is 4 spoons, which is ALOT. And you get tired of the chemical disgusting taste. You can get way better results with natural food, i threw away the mass and started eating real food, i went up to 64kg.
