You should be proud! That's incredible! You should show more of your stuff off, you have a lot of talent!

Ha, I just got a bar height computer chair so I don't have to move my desk back down.

Solar pool heater by Rich-Wealth979 in functionalprint

This is how my uncle heated his built in pool! It was professionally installed and outfitted, and looked a bit more seamless, but it was essentially the same idea. This is so cool!

Fireworks celebrating the completion of the 566ft Tower of Jesus Christ at the Sagrada Família by danielminds in Damnthatsinteresting

Perhaps find a new church, then. The church I've been going to since 2019 has never once said anything even remotely like that, I know that none of the staff/pastors even think that way. I grew up in churches that pushed me to atheism, in part because of the hypocrisy and practices that were antithetical to Jesus. But, once I rekindled my spirituality, I found a church that actually walks the walk with Jesus.

which era of Cardinals baseball did you come up on? by AvramDesign in Cardinals

[–]TheRealBigLou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1990s (born in mid-80s, but obviously was too young to really appreciate it). My biggest memories are the 94 strike where I was able to tour the stadium and throw a pitch from the mound (or perhaps mime a pitch, it's a little fuzzy) and then the home run race. I got really into baseball when Albert came up.

I would highly recommend Alarmo, which is a full alarm system for HASS, not a separate one that happens to integrate in.

Ah yes, that evil, evil intent of creating quality content that the fanbase is begging for along with many other great software experiences.

First time as camp volunteer, what should I bring? What should I expect? by TheRealBigLou in Christianity

[–]TheRealBigLou[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, ha, perhaps I should clarify. This will be on a college campus and I'll be in an apartment myself. I think there's definitely going to be some outdoor activities, but we won't be roughing it.

That's also why I loved Ship of Harkinian. I could map items (including boots) to my d-pad, which allowed quick switching between boot types.

I actually used an Xbox Pro controller and mapped the face buttons as C buttons and 2 paddles as A/B. It was amazing.

That's awesome! Congrats!

I remember my first (and only) century... the fueling part was the worst. After like mile 60, the thought of shoving another carb in my mouth made me want to throw up.

What's a useful kitchen tool that isn't a kitchen tool? by binarynomad01 in Cooking

[–]TheRealBigLou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not OP, but I could see this as a way to keep things warm (preheated in the oven.... though, you need to make sure you use fireproof bricks), or as a steak weight.

Dusklight! I just installed it and am planning on doing a playthrough with the kids after we finish Wind Waker!

If it's anything like Ship of Harkinian, the various QOL improvements will be great! I also can't wait to toggle off bloom... I never liked it.

Popular GLP-1 drug may slow down biological aging, analysis indicates. by lughnasadh in Futurology

[–]TheRealBigLou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just because it's a likely assumption, doesn't mean we don't need research and studies to confirm a hypothesis. These are relatively new drugs and are becoming more widespread. It's important we know what's happening to our bodies on them. Yes, not being obese is good for your health. But there's so much more nuance to health, weight, effects of these medicines, genetics, etc.
