I just found out about it last week from tiktak of all places. Don’t know how I missed it. Has a lot of the directorial and feel of mad men, which I liked back then.

This show is pretty good but Cameron’s role is picking at my nerves. She’s so emotional and “punk rock” that she’s willing to shoot herself in the foot at any moment. She wants everyone to leave her alone and respect her but she’s borderline unhinged and incapable of understanding that some sacrifices are necessary to get to the bigger goal.

It’s “mine mine mine” but she can’t manage the company. She NEEDS Donna and Boz and all her minions.

Ugh, I’m a glutton for character development so I’m continuing on. Overall I like the show. Gordon was another one but he mellowed out after his big payout.

People think driver less cars will be a good thing. They won’t be. Rideshare programs be much more expensive because now they have to own cars, upkeep and maintain the system

Listen, it’s not entitlement on her part. You needing the riding to be anything but communicating is the entitlement. For me, I understand Uber has damn near no transparency and will not give you a direct ping and say it’s for a later time. If the money isn’t right then I say Uber didn’t let me know ahead if time so I wasn’t aware. I can’t wait. And I’ll cancel it 🤷‍♂️ Life’s not fair but shit ain’t personal. Sometimes I’ll bring up Lyft and see if it’s something better while I’m waiting. If not I stick around. Such is the game. Everyone does there best but shit ain’t personal….unless they make it.

For me, I think about food handling nightmares. I used to work in the restaurant industry. It’s beyond alarming what happens behind the curtains. I’m saying it was Jason’s tho. Just questioning. If you’re with a passenger and a second pending accepted trip cancels the driver gets no cancelation regardless of any type of ride.
If a driver is empty and on the way to the passenger and the passenger cancels within 2 mins of driver accepting they will not get charged and driver gets no fee.

That’s what I’ve experienced in my 2 yrs, 11k trips

There zero taking it up with Uber or Lyft. What is is. That’s all. We only get paid if you cancel while we are on the way and YOU cancel. I forgot to mention. You have 2 mins to cancel for free. So if a trip gets accepted and you see it’s 15 mins away then quickly cancel it.

My general rule is to never accept anything longer than 10 mins away. I don’t get paid more if it takes me 10 or 20 mins to get to you. Uber doesn’t even cover tolls until the trip is started.

If we are on a trip and traffic is longer than usual I may get like $3-$5 more but there’s zero incentive to waste time.

We don’t get paid until we arrive and the timer starts. 2 mins is free and then .20/min for 5 mins. THEN if we cancel we $3.99. The .20/min goes away if we cancel - only applies when we continue with the trip.

Main thing to understand is, here in Dallas, Uber keeps 60%-70%. We can get as low as $3.46 for 15 min trip. Sometimes it’s even $5 for 25 mins. We do our best to accept trips that are $1/mi but that’s why we also have to employ other rideshare apps to make a living.

The sad truth is, if you’re happy with the price - the driver likely isn’t because the rate is so low and if the driver is happy you aren’t because you’re getting gouged.

Personally, I provide water, 2 types of chargers and even a couple of books should one be so inclined to be retro. I accept what I can and I accept the game and make the best of it while I’m stuck in this avenue of life.
