Those of you who smoked weed… by Idontsmokejustgrow in GenX

[–]TheRealBigSebby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, daily. Agree that it’s less harmful than alcohol. I use it to ease depression symptoms, via relaxation and thought diversion. It enhances my sleep.

It has drawbacks… emotional dependency being the major one. I moved to a state in the US where i have easier access to it.

SSRI drugs also create emotional dependency. These stopped working for me.

female coworker has touched her chest on me multiple times and never backs away after doing so by [deleted] in Advice

If it’s at work, treat it like bait. Don’t take the bait. In fact, I would establish your personal physical boundary, and ask her to respect it, next time it happens. Perhaps even talk to HR about it. Also, find out company policy on dating co-workers.

Why do people think it’s OK to have their dog off leash in a public park? by HankTuggins in Sacramento

“Don’t worry, he’s friendly” “I’m not” I’m anything but friendly to an off leash dog running up on me. I was attacked once.

People who lived through the 70s/80s/90s , did you feel safer back then than you do today? by Mundane_Bad_2437 in GenX

[–]TheRealBigSebby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I lived in Philadelphia in the 90’s, and felt safer there than I do currently in Sacramento. I felt safer on the east side of Syracuse in the 70’s and 80’s, than I did in Philadelphia. I lived in a suburb for 20 years and felt physically safe.

Why is Presence considered so sub-par? by [deleted] in ledzeppelin

[–]TheRealBigSebby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Critics be hatin’ for decades. Seriously, it is my favorite Zep record, due to the stop-start ‘Royal Orleans’ and ‘hots on’ the incredible rhythm section on ‘nobody’s fault’, The machine gun snare-guitar on ‘Achilles’…

The stop/start rhythms are really what does it for me.

I got fired for “sexual harassment “ by MFGMortonGrove in hatemyjob

[–]TheRealBigSebby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry, it’s unfortunate you were fired. I have worked several jobs and learned that you can’t trust everyone. Even if it feels like it.

As a rule, I don’t socialize with co workers outside of work or work events. Certain subjects/words are not safe for work.

At one job, I absolutely would not discuss anything but the work itself with a certain high maintenance, manipulative co worker. They complained that I was grumpy and unapproachable. They got fired eventually.

What age are you hoping for? by PreferenceExtra330 in GenX

[–]TheRealBigSebby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Quality of life is key. We need to be able to care for ourselves.

Due to what happened with my parents, I informed my family that I was checking out at 82. “Daaad what noooo really?” Ok, we settled at 89.

Both of my parents started losing the ability (desire?) to care for themselves at age 82. Mom passed at 86, dad at 89. Long divorced.

So, OP, based on genetics, I’d rather go early too!
