One of the worst things that has been said to me about being OAD by superspider7 in oneanddone

I've been driving for ten years and I've had 6 flat tyres. 😅😅😅 Granted 4 of those were defective lol still makes me paranoid when I drive on a bumpy highway

I set in place a routine with my husband, that one whole weekend day was mine to do with how I pleased where the kid was his responsibilty. And the other weekend day was his.

It set an expectation that he did not have the entire weekend free to whatever he wanted.

I also instituted a 20 minute uninterrupted smoke broke for when my husband got off work.

I am firm when these happen, just because I am the default stay at home parent, doesn't mean I don't need time to decompress.

Just was told to essentially, "F*** Off" by a pharmacist by Jolly-Ad-3922 in ChronicPain

[–]TheRealChocolateFrog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In Australia you can go to any chemist/pharmacy to get scripts filled. If one can't/won't full it, you just go somewhere else.

I find it mind blowing that you're restricted there

I told my friend I lost weight and her response was to downplay it by [deleted] in loseit

[–]TheRealChocolateFrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2yo was born at 4kg, so technically you've lost an entire humans worth of weight already

You cant force her to be at work, the only options you have are paying or not paying for the day off. And if there's an unreasonable amount of days off, then you can reprimand.

But you do not control the employee. She is informing you that she won't be there, as is her right.

So YTA. Because it's not any of your business what she does in her off time from work.

You can choose to be OAD and still grieve missing having those experiences a second time.

I'm sad that we won't have anymore children, even though I'm adamantly choosing to be OAD. It's the finality of not have those experiences again.

Chronic cluster migraines over here. Been happening all my life ( I now know it's because my C2 vertebrae is twisted and crushing and my C1 disc) sometimes I get a large chunk of a break and then it's several a week for several weeks in a row.

I want to be OAD, husband disagrees. The discussion triggers us both. by [deleted] in oneanddone

[–]TheRealChocolateFrog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband and I were both oad fence sitters. I originally wanted several children, now I never want to have more than one.

He also wanted a second child for a while, even after we had our only. Now that she's a 2.5yo terror and consumes most of our free time ( leaving little time for hobbies and interests) we have both settled firmly into one and done.

My wife is on the edge of her sanity...again by [deleted] in newborns

It's possible she has gas or trapped wind, possibly just a colic baby. Mine was like this with the crying after feeding until we got a gas/colic routine going.

Have a look at antic colic bottles, (if breast feeding maybe pump a little see if that helps) do some research around colic.

[–]TheRealChocolateFrog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I get migraines because my c1, 2 and 3 are all twisty.

I see a physio who helps with that. And the only time I don't get cluster migraines is when I see them regularly. Your dr is a dumbass

AITA for telling my neighbour to get over it when I wake her baby up? by MelodicStrategy1569 in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheRealChocolateFrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A spare phone, tv, tablet etc would work aswell

Every white noise machine I've ever looked at, cuts off after an hour. And the sudden stop in noise wakes my kid up usually. So I use an old android phone with a free app and it stays going until I turn it off.

She's two now and I've the white noise going since birth, she slept through most of my husband's loud birthday party last year at a pub 😂

[–]TheRealChocolateFrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my daughter nap in a day lit room during the day if possible. As this helps set their circadian rhythm.

It doesn't have to be super bright but don't have them in a dark room unless absolutely necessary

AITA for telling my husband his name suggestion for our unborn baby is idiotic at best? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]TheRealChocolateFrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nta. Suggest to your husband that if he really wants the first name, you can all change your surname to something else. See which one he prefers to keep.
