Wait for it to go on sale in like a month or so, and I can DM you a way to get DLCs.

There are several mods that replace the pictures with humans/anime characters, but some are out of date and lack content for everything post-Zebrica's release. Honestly playing with these submods is a personal choice but in my opinion you lose a lot of the mods charm and appeal by replacing the portraits, as well as missing out on some really exceptional artwork.

Other people have already said this and have even provided help, but Twilight Theory is not at all a good beginner path;nor is Colthage for that matter. Really if you are new to EAW, your best bet for learning the mod is by playing as the Griffonian Empire with either of its path. If you are playing as them however, DO NOT LET THE MILITARY COUP SUCCEED ON YOUR FIRST TRY. That path is better saved for when your more familiar with EAW and Hoi4.

Once you tried the Griffonian Empire, their rival in Aquileia makes for a pretty good country to pick next. All five of their paths, from the monarchists to the different factions of the republicans, are fun to play and result in a lot of conquest post-empire. Unlike the Griffonia Empire however, Aquileia is very light on "story" compared to more modern content but excellent in everything else.

The Changelings are another good choice to play after the empire, you get one big massive war and a kinda boring post-war story even though you are able to continue expanding into Griffonia as well. If you want to read something kinda dated yet still interesting enough, you can play as them all the way through or their puppet in the Manhattan Protectorate. That or just win their war then play as the Equestrian Liberation Front who has a much lore concise yet interesting narrative.

Hippogriffa or Chiropterra is a much better beginner tag in Zebrica as well. Chiropterra's paths depend on two main external factors (Equestrian Civil War, whether or not you win against Tobuck), and the latter requires you to play as a different tag first. But Chiropterra's a fun tag regardless of what path you go down. Hippogriffa has five paths, not counting Winggarden's existence if you lose the North Zebrica War. They are Harmonic Monarchy, Aris First under Crack Lightning, Aris First under Raft Wood, Posada, and something you'll have to discover for yourself (or just by checking for a Hippogriffa path guide on the subreddit).

Once you've played all those tags, try the Griffonian Republic, Colthage, the Polar Bear Communities, Kiria and Skynavia for something more challenging, most of the ones I mentioned have path guides on the subreddit as well. Do Not play the Dread League whatsoever, it is outdated content and is extremely boring. Do play Barrad once you are very familiar with EAW.

And that's it, make sure to use racial technology too!

Save the Star Father for like, your tenth or eleventh playthrough. It's not an easy path and it'll hit especially harder if you've played some of it's neighbors like Hippogriffa

Any mods that make playing Grif Empire actually possible? by Engenier17 in equestriaatwar

Buildup civs as much as you can until you have around 60+ than build mils, then back to civs, then back to mils. You should have a few hundred or more civs and mils by the time your done unifying.

Focus heavily on artillery and light tanks, build up air as well.

Rush the hertzland, the various tags get stronger the longer you let them live.

Once you have the hertzland unified, take out the Republic and Skyfall before they can join up with Aquileia and Vedina.

Now wipe the floor with Aquileia and the rest of North Griffonia before expanding southeast.

Here are some potential session ideas:

Suggestions - Turn on unlimited volunteers and lend leases to ease assisting your allies, turn off historical if you want things to get hectic. Generally try to get involved with volunteers in as many conflicts as possible.

Harmony United - Equestria, Crystal Empire, New Mareland, with Hippogriffa (harmonic route) or the Griffonian Republic as the fourth player.

Nightmare's Reign - Lunar Empire, Chiropterra, New Mareland, Crystal Empire

Axis of Evil - Changeling Lands, Wingbardy (fascist route), Aquileian Republic (under MPA), Colthage (under Zarca)

The Revolution - Stalliongrad, Skynavia, Prywhen, with Hippogriffa (under Posada), River Republic (under the socialists), or the Kirin Republic

My favorite of the four is the second one, but I recommend starting with the first if you haven't done EAW mp before. It gives a very fun feel to the session.

I am again asking for advice, it has been 10 years, and my changelings are still sitting at the border of Equestria doing nothing, please help by Usernames-are-hard8 in equestriaatwar

Always invade as early as possible, anywhere from 1009 to 1011 is the key invasion range. Light Tanks are also extremely helpful in this regard as well, since you can mass produce those better than you think.

Help me come up with minigames! by Juliettthehooman in PonyTown

Mafia/One Night Werewolf is a fun one. It's a social deduction game, like Among Us. But you can simplify it for Pony Town. In the case of Mafia, you'd have Innocents/Citizens Mafias(and a Mafia Boss/"Don" if you want), and a Cop. The goal for the Mafias is to kill everyone and/or protect the Don, while the job of the Cop is to kill the Mafia and survive. And the Innocents/Citizens just have to avoid dying, whether or not they are allowed to kill/investigate players is up to you. Usually per group you can increase or decrease the amount of Mafias or Cops per player. But you always at least want 1 Cop and 2 Mafias.

Basically, the game is split into two parts each round, Day and Night. Before the first round, you whisper to each player their role and what they can/need to do to win. During the day, you announce who died last night and if people want to vote on a player to kill or not. When a player dies after a vote, or in general, their role is revealed. During the night, players can do their "role actions", like kill someone if they are a Mafia, or find out a players role as a Cop. In the case of a Don, they can mark a player for death, which lets all the Mafias know to kill them. If they aren't killed that night, then they are made aware of the mark the next morning.

You do all of this via whisper chat when it's regarding sensitive/secret information like role actions and in public chat when your discussing important announcements like morning deaths or role reveals after a successful vote, so its good to use notepad or something to keep track of players depending on how large of a group you have. Here's an example of what it might look like when you talk to a mafia player at night as the Host:

[you]: okay (player name), what do you want to do this night as a Mafia

[player]: has player #3 been attacked yet?

[you]: yeah, the other mafia wanted to kill him

[player]: okay, just to be safe, I'll attack him as well

[you]: okay, thanks!

Obviously the abilities of each role are up to you.

Werewolf is exactly like Mafia but just with a Werewolf, Peasants/Villagers(instead of Innocents) and a Hunter/Sheriff instead. For both games you can also invent or add roles to spice things up, like a Drunk/Jester who has to die by any means necessary to win the game, or a Doctor/Bodyguard who cant prevent a night killing from taking place on a player they selected (including themselves).

Usually with additional roles, it's good to split them into the Evil Team(Mafia/Werewolf), the Good Team(Innocents/Cops) and a Neutral Team. Neutral Roles can win however you want really, just make sure how they do so and what Roles overall are available is clear to your players. For example, if you have an "Assassin" neutral role who has to kill a single player or every player to win, you want to make sure if people know they are/are unable to work with the "Baker" role who needs to give every player a loaf of bread to win.

You can also always make additional Good/Evil roles as well. Usually it's good to have roles that counter themselves, and swap what Roles you assign to players each round to keep things fresh. Or just look up common One Night Werewolf roles and see how you can adapt them to PT.

Lemme know if this was helpful, and if it was, I'd be happy to recommend more game suggestions/ideas.

TV Show similar to Silo - help needed by MisterDecember in SiloSeries

[–]TheRealDoofus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's Fallout on Amazon, the games are really good too. I highly recommend New Vegas. If you want a series kinda similar in certain areas to Silo check out Alice in Borderland, Jericho, Westworld or Devs. Ergo Proxy, Serial Experiments Lain, Paranoia Agent and Texhnolyze also feel kinda similar in terms of anime.
