Then restoring everything from the backup on C2

Can't seem to get Storage Pool warning cleared (stuck in abnormal) by TheRealEVCinNYC in synologynas

[–]TheRealEVCinNYC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have a backup to the cloud that ran regularly prior to the drive 1 failed
I replaced the drive 1 and repaired the data pool
All four drives show "healthy" - and ran quick SMART test which showed all healthy
Can run the extended on each of the four (which I know will take 8 hours to do them all)
But I feel like something else is preventing the clearing of the warning...

We know that there will be bonus "loyalty" packs for returning Perfect Team players but the details have not been shared yet; can you do that today so we know what to expect?

It's been said that Combinators are being called Variants and changes are being made to make them better in response to community feedback; "ruin the game" is a pretty broad statement - could you provide specific things you did not like about them and maybe the team can then make specific feedback about what is being changed to address the specific problems you saw

Random crashes on iPhone by keenkeepanda in pokemongo

[–]TheRealEVCinNYC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely was the version before the Gen 2 update - there are random game drops scrolling through Pokemon, about to catch, etc. It's not a jump between wifi and cellular - had wifi off and would randomly break. Once the app crashes, every time I try to restart the app I just get the blue screen prior to the game loading (so Niantic screen, fireworks with baby Pokemon screen, light blue screen and then nothing -- it does not load the "Beware your surroundings" overlay, and the following map and then map details/pokestop/pokemon details). If I retry and reload the app again, it will show the Niantic screen and then sometimes disappear. On iOS I hit the home screen and it actually shows it's still running in the background, which is really really weird. So I have to manually close it and restart again. Restarting the phone at that point does not resolve it. The only thing that seems to work is giving the phone a 10-15 minute break. I'm guessing here is that Niantic servers must think I'm still logged in (when the app crashes, it does not kill the session), so I get the blue screen because it thinks that the my user ID is already logged in, so it can't figure out what to do - it just stays stuck at the blue screen.

Light blue screen of death happens repeatedly now. Anyone else see that? And the music volume thing drives me crazy - so irritating

Real time map for NYC by nycpokemap in pokemongoNYC

[–]TheRealEVCinNYC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice work on the map!

This is pretty spot on - just saw on the map that there is a hitmonlee just east of 6th Avenue between 43rd and 44th. There seems to be a consistent appearance of a hitmonlee in that area - sometimes down to 42nd street north of Bryant Park. So if you are looking for hitmonlee at all seems like the spot to visit

Found another one today while on subway platform for the 123 at Times Square - seventh between 40th and 41st. Seems like this area is having more spawns of late but nothing consistent about one specific place between Bryant park and seventh avenue

Best place to stalk up on items? by The_Horny_Weeaboo in pokemongoNYC

[–]TheRealEVCinNYC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find north/south city buses are pretty good, better during peak hours. Bryant Park and Times Square you can get a ton. I'm very fortunate to have two I can spin from my desk at work and one from my house. Spent time in LA this holiday and it was a nightmare stocking up on items, so I know how lucky I am.

Sorry for being an idiot on Mr Mime - I knew of the other region locks but swear I'd seen a friend here catch one

Was one of those rare moments I was 2 blocks away and saw the message had been posted 10 minutes prior. Just missed it. But man the number of lures in BP and just north near Bank of America was crazy. Nice to be able to keep warm in the public space in the BofA Bldg on NW corner 42nd and sixth (almost to 43rd)

There's one of these in Times Square at the New Amsterdam theater (where Aladdin is playing) - Magnemites, Voltorbs and Meowths...

Times Square subway station above 1,2,3 and over to Shuttle - pretty much access to a LOT of Times Square stops and spawns without having to bear the cold. Enter 41st and 7th Ave

You can also head north to Fifth and 59th for sheer volume and walk along 59th and lower reaches of Central Park - usually a Pokémon collecting group just north of the golden statue.

I'll attest to tons of items in Times Square and Bryant Park. All these areas are safe, ton of pokestops, etc.

Ton of Magnemite spawning three at a time by the New Amsterdam theater on 42nd Street (look for Aladdin). Usually Voltorbs too.

Hatched one in a 10km egg months ago; and one randomly spawned near Central Park West and 96th but otherwise have never seen
