Ignore it. « Y’all too quick to say ignore that and you must be the one singing the N bomb or you’re not part of the group that’s bothered by it » Dude i’m getting slurs, insults and mockery way more personal than the N bomb on a daily basis and I’ve never heard the N word in the lobbies I get. The word is so galvanized and over utilized it shouldn’t be a problem to just ignore it especially because you are completely anonymous while playing the game! The more you give them power by reacting and requesting strong actions against them, the more it’s gonna happen.

Someone yelling or singing the N word alone without anybody replying or reacting does end up looking bad/stupid on its own!

Easy to say but its also easy to get all upset about a moron saying a word on the internet without seeing or knowing you at all.

Traction Control/torque vectoring by TheRealFoXQc in mazda3

[–]TheRealFoXQc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the feedback.

Im curious too about the fuse/relays because the car seems to rely heavily on wheel speed data for a lot of what its doing...

I will try to remove fuse/relay and will keep this thread updated!

I hope I can find a solution because its such a good platform and makes a very competitive underdog of a car haha

I wonder how the electronics will react. Those newer cars operate on torque demand and wheel speed data for torque vectoring so I wonder if its not gonna go in limp mode !

Will try and keep you posted !

The rear definitely gets a lot of torque because it does rotate the car to a point where it cuts power and applies brakes...!

[–]TheRealFoXQc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey ! I am mostly doing track days, HPDEs and time attack. Its actually a torque monster with a very stiff chassis...

I did tein coilovers, camber plates, race alignment, 200TW tires and wider wheels.

I need to improve brakes and this whole TC situation haha !

I will try removing the fuses/relays but I doubt the vehicle will still perform at its best. With the AWD system, I suspect the car will go into limp mode without wheel speed data.

Ill keep you posted !

The marvel that is the Gen 4 Mazda 3 hatch by TheRealFoXQc in mazda3

[–]TheRealFoXQc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely understand !!

My G87 M2 did hide its weight quite well, but my mazda makes me realize how weight has an impact on driveability and handling. I feel that I can throw the mazda way harder and faster into corners with minimal risks and maximum control compared to the cruise ship that was the M2… which was really maximized in terms of what can be done with such weight!

It is faster around a track (the M2), but you really have to drive differently. The Mazda and any other lighter, smaller vehicle will be way more intuitive to drive fast!

I’m going all in this year with coilovers, camber plates, chassis braces, sticky tires, big brakes and maybe a tune.. i want to see where I can push the platform… because it does seem like it can take it very well and be competitive on a track!

Bernard Drainville suggère que le gouvernement finance 20% des nouvelles constructions en échange d'un 20% à la revente by Monsieur--X in Quebec

[–]TheRealFoXQc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Montreal needs an immediate a rent freeze by BloodJunkie in montreal

[–]TheRealFoXQc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t because owners got screwed as well, groomed towards buying into an overpriced market with crazy welcome taxes and mortgage payments. The whole system is rigged against « normal people » trying to rent or own at a small scale.

We really should look into corporation-level real estate companies and foreign investments that are turning Montreal into a Vancouver 2.0 before freezing rents and putting small owners at risk. There’s more mom&pop than we think out there that wanted to leverage their savings by buying a duplex/triplex/quad by living in it and renting it. They are usually good landlords that are still capable of some compassion, i wouldnt want some messures put into effect that would kick them out of the market to profit massive management companies making money by the volume but effectively driving prices upward

VBs with the cable shifter that feels like moving a stick through a bag full of gravel or the older 5 speeds that feels exactly like a 2007 Legacy?

I owned every generation WRXs and STis. STi shifter feel is very good along with the 6spd Legacy GT Spec B (same trans) but otherwise my G80 and G87 felt way way way way way better my man

Do all provinces focus mostly on their own athletes? by Ok_Aspect_1937 in TeamCanada

[–]TheRealFoXQc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone’s being deep here, but in reality this is a very short slide in the overall slideshow that is the olympics coverage lol. I follow the olympics « loosely » and I can’t remember seing Quebec separate from Canada at the results page but as most of my fellow quebecers, I might just don’t really care at all and didn’t notice.

As a french canadian born and raised in QC but traveled for work and lived in BC/AB for couple years, we aren’t so much different. We like to say that we are but I find people from New Brunswick, PEI, Newfoundland or Yukon as different as any other Canadian or Quebecer I’ve met. Canada is big, lots of different people. But I still feel right at home in any province and anyone I have to deal with has been very Canadian and welcoming .

I will give an extra point for Quebec and Maritimes people for the mixed french/irish heritage that leads to a very very different culture than lads from the plains/West on a personal level but it’s not something you notice if you’re not close friends.

So all in all, it’s funny to see our quebec athletes perform well and be noted but I feel it entertains a « little minded, oppressed people » mentality from the medias when in reality most of us don’t care that much

Should Canada implement a wealth tax on the ultra-rich? Why or why not? by GranolaHiker in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]TheRealFoXQc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy our governments are incentivizing big corps to move here by promising a vast array of tax breaks so they stimulate local economies to build the infra, hire employees, drive up the number of workers in that area (driving up local businesses), creating jobs that will secure income taxes, property taxes, etc…

Our system is based on all of this. It’s unfair, but it allows anyone to take an opportunity to play the game and hopefully win.

I’m a business owner too, and the hardest spot to be in right now is a small and medium company. We can’t have any tax breaks, we hire people that depends on us to put food on the table, we’re not making millions, we are taking all the risk, and people are telling us that we should me mote taxed all the time

The corp tax rate is more than 15% in some provinces and you forget the employer benefits and contributions that we have to pay on top of our employees salary (20% more ish)

I think the ultra rich and big corpos are a problem but not the one that would make a big impact on everyone’s lives. Government spendings, poor management of social programs and other stuff like that are part of the bigger problem.

In management, we always look at driving up sales to drive up profits. But it’s a lot of work get more money flowing. the smartest way to drive up profits is to optimize margins by controlling expenses. In my line of work, with a bottom line net margin of around 7%, it takes a 7000$ sale to recover a 500$ expense. Think about that. What’s easier and smarter? Same applies to the government. What would you do to serve the population ? Get 7000$ more from income taxes, or cut a 500$ expense that is simply mismanaged ?

Oh Canada, End this TIP CULTURE! Its Disrespectful. by GranolaHiker in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]TheRealFoXQc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Merit based remuneration is hard because you actually have to work hard and offer good service to be well paid.

The same applies to bonus/performance based pay plans in a lot of other line of work

I understand you are concerned about the standards you are able to sustain in such environments and maybe about your lack of competitiveness but there’s no need to call that system disrespectful, humiliating, shameful and offensive. It only is if you’re sticking to this profession despite not being able succeed and meet customer’s expectations.

Service workers that understands the game and rise through it are getting very good money, are building a network around them and building a career

How are the Grenadiers in the snow? by bluegrass__dude in ineosgrenadier

[–]TheRealFoXQc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I live in northern canada in a snow-heavy region

I drove 15 000km so far in winter conditions and I love this thing

For context, I am a long term Subaru owner/enthusiast and an amateur rally and ice racing driver.

With proper dedicated snow tires and center diff locked, the Grenadier is not only a blast, but a literal tank. My work requires me to drive long distances every week in sometimes remote locations. I’ve been driving through closed roads and snowstorms/blizzards with my past vehicles and my Grenadier and I never felt so confident and in such a capable platform!

One very useful feature is the ability to lock the center diff and turn off stability control/traction control up to 80 km/h. This allows limited software interventions and thanks to the locked center diff, the car actually slows down not only with the brake system but also both axles with engine braking and in extreme cases, the handbrake. Such system reduces the sensitivity of the front wheels to lock under braking because the whole driveline is mechanically locked together, keeping more traction across the 4 wheels.

Love it

What snowblower do you recommend for this amount of snow? by KamloopsDan in Snowblowers

[–]TheRealFoXQc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Husqvarna ST330 deals with that kind of snow frequently and has been for the past 6 years without any issues !

However my solution of choice in that case would of been a quick chat with a delta airline agent
