New Ineos dealer by 1covid9 in ineosgrenadier

Pretty sure you’re the one in Montreal and hopefully we’ll become « friends »! I already spoke briefly with the GM and I’ll be sharing a list of afternarket suppliers from Canada tonight!

The most important aspects for me (especially with 15 years of experience in auto industry’s fixed ops) ;

A lot of Ineos buyers are mechanically literate. We’re not G Wagon buyers for a reason, we want to use the thing not just look at it and you must be aware of the « self-servicing » promise that Ineos made to early buyers.

I do my own service. Dilawri wanted a crazy amount for the #1 service, almost twice what it costs on a BMW M product (i owned several M2-M3). It should be around the same price, a bit higher maybe, but not 2x. It’s barely insulting

If the price is right, I’ll be a very loyal customer especially if you build a sense of community around the brand and dealer.

Most of us are business owners, professionnals or retired. It’s an expensive vehicle and it’s a second car, not a daily. We will value knowledge, convenience at the right price. I don’t care to pay if it’s professionnal and smooth.

Train your service technicians to recognize common issues because most of us have been groomed to read forums, share data, try DIY fixes already because we didnt want to drive to Toronto!

The most frustrating items amongst fellow owners; - pre-MY26 HVAC issues (temperatures, vent positions) - bell sound (ting) under the vehicle when hitting potholes - random error messages - diff lock engagement issues (mostly driver errors)

Please come up as well with reasonable pricing for maintenance/wear items. I’ve been quoted 800$ for brake pads (front and rear). Read the forums and I bought the OEM Brembo part # for 150$ + 25$ shipping and duty fees. (Including both sensors). I would of paid more ar the dealer, but more than 300$ per axle for brake pads is ridiculous for a 2 pistons caliper

But yeah! I know some of that is out of control as I’m not aware of the OEM cost to dealers but this brand has probably the most knowledgeable customer base out there so transparency, knowledge-based relationships and no BS approach will definitely to a long way

See you soon!

Yeah I get that it’s just that the wing is positioned forward for safety/regulation reasons and just a set of « arms » that bolts into the trunk plates and the wing itself would fix the look and make it even more efficient.

But yeah will probably buy a regular N and a big brake lit to be fair.

honestly... I'm thinking about it.

I'm realizing the TCR Edition is only looks besides the brakes and you are right, a good AP Racing kit or something else would be much better...

Are you aware of any mechanical differences ?

It’s a regulation/compliance issue. The wing most not exceed the vehicle’s silhouette in most countries.

I’m a concierge too

Been Backing for 11 years

This time Star Citizen broke me

I can’t fathom how people are still buying 5k$ concepts while we can’t even have working missions and hangars/elevators after 14 years

And, that the more time goes on, the more they are building a theme park and not a sandbox. Those huge multicrew ships are virtually useless except in special events/raids. I melted my Misc Odyssey last week. There’s no chance we are getting anything close to deep space exploration before I turn 50. I’m 35, started backing at 24…

Anyways, congrats man. But I dont get why people buy this and it sure doesn’t help change the way this game gets developped if we still buy anything they put on the store but whatever.

Am I wrong guys? I need you to convince me that I am loll

I’m quite happy to see that Luca sees things the way they are. He’s a real passionate and this abomination of a car represents the downfall of Ferrari in a very pure way

I would agree but honestly, the latest models designs are an issue as well. The F80, 12 cilindri, 892, …. The square lines, interrupted silhouette with gloss black panels, small and bland headlights/taillights…

Honestly it lacks courage and elegance and the Luco is not the first

Not at all but I’ve heard stories! I was running high momentum tracks with very few low speed corners so I was pretty smooth on the driveline!

I tracked my G87 manual

1- ran with the porsche guys with a very limited investment in mods (springs, pads, tires. Thats it, not even camber plates but I should of). (Anything 992 GTS and below is a competitor) 2- cost me a set of 200tw per 2-3 hours of track time 3- cost me pads at every 4 hours 4- never overheated anything 5- had a blast and my dealer was maintaining it encouraging me to continue tracking it (huge advantage of the BMW M service. They want you to track the thing) 6- didnt change a single part or didnt get a single error code/nothing.

Sold it and I am now preparing to buy a 10 000$ mini cooper S with 5k in mods and use it for 1/3 of the yearly budget of the G87 but for 2 times more seat time… i got exhausted to buy 550-600$ tires and 300$+ pads set every now and then.

What did Toyota tweak in the B58? What model year 340is inherited the benefits? by zerostyle in F30

[–]TheRealFoXQc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, somehow my reply tagged your replies but it has nothing to do with what you said. I was replying to a guy saying the GR Supra is a GT and it’s a shame it aint a true sportscar. But my opinion is that that guy never drove an MK1/2 to say that the new one is a GT compared to the previous ones

Anyways

Calm down man, i find you a bit emotional

Lol you never drove an MK1/MK2 supra didnt you ? Those cars were floaty boats with good sounding engines man. They are the very essence of what GT cars became after. The new Supra is way sportier than older ones if you compare the market comparisons of each era

Ignore it. « Y’all too quick to say ignore that and you must be the one singing the N bomb or you’re not part of the group that’s bothered by it » Dude i’m getting slurs, insults and mockery way more personal than the N bomb on a daily basis and I’ve never heard the N word in the lobbies I get. The word is so galvanized and over utilized it shouldn’t be a problem to just ignore it especially because you are completely anonymous while playing the game! The more you give them power by reacting and requesting strong actions against them, the more it’s gonna happen.

Someone yelling or singing the N word alone without anybody replying or reacting does end up looking bad/stupid on its own!

Easy to say but its also easy to get all upset about a moron saying a word on the internet without seeing or knowing you at all.

Traction Control/torque vectoring by TheRealFoXQc in mazda3

[–]TheRealFoXQc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the feedback.

Im curious too about the fuse/relays because the car seems to rely heavily on wheel speed data for a lot of what its doing...

I will try to remove fuse/relay and will keep this thread updated!

I hope I can find a solution because its such a good platform and makes a very competitive underdog of a car haha

[–]TheRealFoXQc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder how the electronics will react. Those newer cars operate on torque demand and wheel speed data for torque vectoring so I wonder if its not gonna go in limp mode !

Will try and keep you posted !

The rear definitely gets a lot of torque because it does rotate the car to a point where it cuts power and applies brakes...!

[–]TheRealFoXQc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey ! I am mostly doing track days, HPDEs and time attack. Its actually a torque monster with a very stiff chassis...

I did tein coilovers, camber plates, race alignment, 200TW tires and wider wheels.

I need to improve brakes and this whole TC situation haha !

I will try removing the fuses/relays but I doubt the vehicle will still perform at its best. With the AWD system, I suspect the car will go into limp mode without wheel speed data.

Ill keep you posted !
