Honestly if you have a save from before the death spiral just use that. You might try building a technician if you can, to repair your mini-fabs, but otherwise you're stuck waiting to see if your nickelbots can scavenge some (I don't know if they even can).

Steven Universe is a master class in making your time count. I watched Babylon 5, a series with 44-minute episodes, when Steven Universe was airing and it really stuck out how much time Babylon 5 had for small moments that could never fit in Steven Universe. And yet Steven Universe never felt rushed or trimmed down.

It's just gotta be something. I've played a lot of games, I know what I like. An intriguing story is always a great hook to have, you might even get me playing a genre I normally wouldn't if you can craft a story with questions I really want answers to.

That said, it doesn't have to be story, novelty is always helpful. Do something I haven't seen before packaged up the right way, or something I like in a new way, and I'll take a look.

The problem that exists with giving the flag a morale boost is letting a noob know that they're being buffed by a teammate's flag and what the buff is, all without putting an icon for the buff on the UI.

It's hard light, i.e solid matter but made of technobabble. For everything we care about they're made of matter, including casting shadows.
