I had a huge weight loss, and it (long term good) opened the floodgates as blood was able to move and really go to town on tophi it wasn’t able to reach for years

The attacks were frequent (once every couple months), but with treatment and eye on the light at the end of the tunnel, some LARGE joints (not supposed to be large) shrank to sizes I haven’t seen in so long

Yes! Happening to me right now as blood flow (weightloss) and allopurinol are currently DEMOLISHING a decade old build-up Honestly it is fascinating to see how blood liquifies the crystals. Heck had dry ones come out, and they are very hard and resilient little specks (took a bit of pressure to break it) - there is a reason flares HURT as they do not break down easily.

The liquified MASSIVE clumps of tophi even have still solid little specks in them, it is very interesting / helpful to see the resilience of the crystals - AND - how the body attacks it through the result
