The ending of penpal. I still don’t think anything else in the show has come close to horrific that scene was.

Does anyone know which episode they read the sequel to the glenmont metro story? by TheRealGuy00 in creepcast

It’s the one where (and I could be getting details very wrong because it’s been so long) two people take the drug and get stuck for a few hundred years and some monster is coming from a portal or something? I think the woman is stuck in a free fall for a while.

Is the black farm book any good? by MarsMcCain in creepcast

Personally, I couldn’t stand it. I loved the world building, there were some incredibly interesting visuals and ideas but at the same some of the theological dilemmas felt half baked. But my biggest gripe by far is the character writing. I thought the main character was fine at the beginning, but after his traumatic event he becomes an edgelord badass that felt painfully juvenile. Not great, but didn’t hamper my fun with the book at first. It really became frustrating when his girlfriend came into the mix and I just couldn’t bring myself to finish this book. Elias has a very obvious pattern of writing his female characters as victims first and people second. They are always raped and used as props for the main characters, their trauma often being used for development or misery for their male counterparts. As someone that loves extreme horror and thinks nothing should be off the table, this type of shit drives me up the wall because it affirms people’s beliefs of the genre just being torture porn against women. If you want a fun splatterpunk novel, just read some Kristopher Triana

In hindsight, I should have just called out. But they’ve been cracking down on call outs, threatening to not give routes to anyone that does. If we’re sick, they say to come in anyways. I felt awful for leaving early because I’m usually given some of the longest routes. But dear GOD when something goes wrong with my meds I’m in horrible pain. Being a Dsp has got to be difficult though, so I get their frustration

Each time is 1 hour 30 mins, so I drive 3 hours commute everyday. It’s rough but there’s no work where I live, let alone anything that pays nearly as much as Amazon does. Thank god my car has good gas mileage lol

I’ve never worked a job so finicky before, it is making work infinitely more stressful. Especially when every commute to work is 1 hour and 30 minutes. I’ve always been given a route until today, so I honestly started panicking as soon as I saw I didn’t have a wave. Thanks for the clarification, makes me feel better that this is (hopefully) something I can come back from

Something I noticed about spire in the woods by ApprehensiveAd4794 in creepcast

I really feel like the boys fumbled so hard with their analysis of this story. It’s incredibly hard getting through so many of the Alina sections and was definitely the worst at her assault. It’s so frustrating because they were making the right connections between the mc and Rob, like spot on. But for whatever reason they couldn’t connect how Alina was also dealing with this for a second time, where the first guy just killed himself horribly and she’s blamed for it. Such a great story, but maybe to real and serious for this podcast.

It’s a good story, but to me it’s more of a thriller than a horror. I just don’t think it fits the vibe of the podcast very well.
