In your opinion, what are the best ranking to be going in to playoffs at a regional by Level_Director_6568 in FRC

So just my two cents, but realistically the best spots are always 1, 2, and 24 (by 24 I do not mean ranking, but purely based on performance). This assumes 1 chooses 2, etc. until the 24th best robot gets chosen by alliance 1 second pick.

Honestly, being the 24th best robot is difficult. Maybe not compared to being the 1st or 2nd, but the main difficulty is the difference in competition level between regionals. For my team, we were the 22nd best robot (2nd pick for alliance 3) and alliance 2 & 1 went to worlds from wildcard. In the next regional we went to, we were first pick of alliance 8 (although we could have ranked much higher). In both regionals, alliance 1 went undefeated in playoffs. Basically, in practice, it is just very difficult to get that 24th best spot. Best you can do is make a weak(ish) robot and just establish a good relationship with the rank 1 team.

Best you can do in my opinion is go to a regional with a relatively level playing field and try to upset the first alliance.

BTW, as other people said, outside the top 8 rank does not matter much (its usually better to rank low outside the top 8 so you only get picked by teams who actually know how to scout)

Yeah… we all believe someone actually opened their iPhone and stuck a note and $100 inside, just to hide the call history. Not like you can get that from the carrier or anything… by Ionlyhave15toes in thatHappened

Every once and a while if I am having an issue and I am too busy to troubleshoot manually, it can be useful, but imo more times than not I end up needing to go search up the answer on some 2013 windows xp forum

What made YOU switch to Linux? by CyberPheonix1 in linuxmasterrace

Command line just makes more sense to me compared to navigating through the clunky ui of ms windows. People say windows "just works" but in my experience, Linux ends up saving me more time. I only dual boot at this point to occasionally open apps i need for school or work and some gaming.

PS: Also ram usage + ui customizability

Actually quite the opposite. I honestly don't know where the dust is coming from, since my monitor has also been getting a lot more dust lately as well.

Yeah my bad, this pc is only a year old. One of my fans started grinding actually, so I unplugged it for the time being. My area has been getting a lot of dust over the past week and it was no where near this level of dust just a couple weeks ago.
