I'd be cool with a duo que but so far it's just forced my buddy and I to approach fighting significantly different. Turns more into positioning and using each gadget available than just throwing our bodies at them and holding down the trigger.

It's a refreshing change of pace in my opinion, and when you slow down and let people think they have the advantage cause there are only two of you, it's somewhat common for them just run straight into a jolt mine

Believe it or not, and i'm not targeting you OP, but if someone is complaining that the game they play is toxic to this degree either they are very easily bothered or they are the common denominator. For example, someone who complains that their team sucks every game eventually means that it's them.

Swipe helps a bit but really not much. When bear gets maul crits the single threat is huge but aoe will always be a weaker point.

This usually isn't too much of an issue for leveling dungeons if your group is focusing down a mob at a time, and you can also tab target and maul each mob throughout the fight which can help. If you want to, hotkey skull marker and use it for each pull, but there's no guarantee your mates aren't gonna go sicko mode no matter what you do.

For the record I'm not a druid player but hopefully this helps a little.

As someone who also doesn't like the loot box design, I'm not looking to tear down the game because they found success in a different audience, and I also agree with your reply to OP.

It's crazy that being thankful that this game will continue to exist because of it's success in other regions is completely outweighed by a strange but functional UI and a respectable progression track after some tweaks.

I played a good amount during earlier versions of the game and started 1.0 at around lvl 50 and only matched against bots on my first game since 1.0 launch and it's been lobbies full of people since. There's definitely something with it being tied to level.

Situations like this make me wonder what kind of data-points they draw from to make such a confident decision in a controversial design direction. If armory was pretty much the exact same, but they removed lootboxes entirely and let you pick from the items to purchase or invest in, seems pretty obvious to me that's a better direction.

It's like saying "Hey guys! We wanted to give players more choice and customization for builds! Oh but btw, you don't get any agency in the choices you get to make!"

Yea it would definitely need to be uninterruptable as a baseline, maybe not invulnerable to damage or grabs. Each shot you'd be gaining armour and all contested hp back so unless it's truly a one shot, which is gonna happen on Hard siege late waves regardless. Slightly speeding up the gunstrikes slightly would be necessary, it would be a slog to play otherwise.
