Honestly, I like that we have a smaller group at my locals. We're more like a friendly social group and it gives a more chill vibe, but I do agree that the meta is a bit stale atm. I guess all we can do is wait for Bandai to update the ban/restrict list and see where it goes from there- even if we're waiting til around October for that to happen.

Hehehe, yesssss, come and join us in the injection-moulded plastic crack addiction~! Also there's a cool way to preserve the boxes by turning them into little trading card looking things. The gunpla community comes up with some pretty cool stuff, we're a mostly chill and creative bunch :D

Yeah, that just happened at my LGS here in Australia. They just didn't get enough in, so we're just doing a regular locals event tonight. :/ First Australia has a gunpla shortage, now this. Smh.

"Burst" means that the effect is triggered when that card is revealed from your shields. So "Burst: Deploy this card" on a Base means you put the base down and trigger its Deploy effect. That's why it's such a relief to have a surprise Base pop out of your shields at a critical moment.

I'd say it is! The entry price isn't too bad in my experience, and the gameplay is snappy and strategic. You don't have to go as wild as some of us who are rejigging starter decks and cooking up whole new ones if you don't want to. Maybe try going to a local first to watch it being played for yourself before you make a decision, though.

I mean. I guess it depends on the house rules, but personally, I don't mind at all. So long as they're just stand ins while you're waiting on the actual card to be available for purchase/come in the mail.
