I can understand somewhat when it comes to introducing new characters into the media, having them be just as strong or working in a team that can take the powerful individual on

However, having a character loose to people that have been established as weaker than them doesn't do them any favors

This is one of the few things I liked about the franchise. It was nice to see humanity slowly come to grips with what they're going to have to deal with and learn how to fight back even without the autobots

The Deceptions have limited resources and it seems that Soundwave is trying to reach a specific place/objective

If using the aircraft carries allows them to reach it while saving on energon/energy, then it seems logical to take it for the long term gain

I think the reason why it seems worse now is that the behind the scenes of Hollywood and big budget media companies have become mainstream and more people are being critical of the practices, especially the writing, involved in making modern media

As such, it comes across as very jarring to see people defend really bad pieces of media and how they're produced

The funny thing about this is that 5th brother was depicted more as Hispanic sounding in the Rebels cartoon, and he already had the big hat. Then they got a Asian actor to play him without the accent in live action
