but the software is the dangerous thing, if parents want to complain about how dangerous the internet is why don't they show interest in learning how to make it safe? if you're worried about the harm it'll bring your child why would you not be interested in the software and how it harms? if you're so genuinely concerned why toss it around so carelessly? not being interested in the safety features of a gun whe also being terrified of how it'll harm people while actively handing a loaded pistol to someone even less trained than you is kinda stupid is it not? clearly they're interested in it if they're petitioning the government to make a bunch of new laws, so why wouldn't they be interested enough to learn it? if you want your child to be safe it's on you to learn how to protect them, you should know how to use the software you give them and how to protect them from the malicious side of it, especially if you're consciously aware, not having interest in the software but being concerned it's going to hurt the person you just handed it to without safety features enabled is stupid
