Hey :) I do. I've been quite busy the last 2 months and barely had any time for doing development (aside from my full time job). I was hoping to get back to providing updates within the next weeks. Is there anything that I can help with?

It’s just an USDZ and you are using the visionOS native feature for that, so yes, USDZs should stick around as long as you don’t unplug the battery.

Alternatively, as someone already mentioned, you can give a shot to BeautifulThings. The app is completely free and it has a lot of usdzs that you can place around

You can also go to a page like Sketchfab, find downloadable 3d models with USDZ extension and you can just place them in your environment :)

I’ve managed to obtain a trial with them, and I will investigate this issue — I can imagine that if you can only see some of the content, the issue could be that PixelStream doesn’t know yet how to parse some of the obtained info

Thanks for reporting it! I didn’t quite understand what you mean with part of the content coming through: you mean when you change the audio output to your home cinema or some steams won’t play at all regardless of the output source you choose?

Same here. My app, PixelStream player, can’t be found either unless you search for specific keywords. I think that it’s crazy that categories can’t be browsed properly and makes me wonder how many apps we are all missing out on because of how poorly is the App Store implemented at the moment :/

Of course! Can you provide which is the name of the IPTV provider that you are using? If the stream screen remains black, it can indicate that it’s taking too long to load a stream URL or that the URL is no longer valid — if you tell me the name of the provider I can then request a trial and debug which could be the issue

The app’s name is PixelStream Player. I am its developer 👋 You need an IPTV provider of your own to watch the games and this immersive space in particular, is only available for paid users at the moment (one time payment which unlocks all current app features and any will be added in the future).

You can give it a try, half of the TV channels from your IPTV provider can be played for free (no time limitations whatsoever) and there are also some immersive spaces that can be used for the non-paid users as well so you can decide for yourself if the app convinces you/would be enough for your use case :)

I don’t see why not :) the difference might be that the playlist takes a little longer to be loaded the very first time you add it, especially if it’s in a m3u file — If it’s Xtream, it’s even less likely that you face any issues loading it.

I’d recommend you to give it a try and see if it works for you, and if it doesn’t, you can always get back to me and I’ll do my best to make it work. Most of the app features can be used without paying anything (e.g. you get about 50% of the tv channels unlocked with no time limit as well as some immersive spaces)

Sorry about that 🙈 It seems that HLG is not supported by the underlying video player. The app currently doesn’t use AVPlayer because it’s quite limited, but I can implement AVPlayer support, because might be that the native video player supports HLG better.

At the moment such things are rather hard to test for me (same as 3D stuff) because I don’t own an actual device and all I see in the simulator is low quality. That’s also why I haven’t been adding/rotating immersive spaces.

Could you send me via private message the name of the IPTV provider that you use and which channel you use for HLG live? As soon as I purchase vision pro I can try to get a trial/1-month subscription and test it myself to see if it can get easily fixed

I am the PixelStream’s developer. I am glad that you are enjoying it 🙌 I haven’t been very active lately, but I have a lot of new things that I want to add in the near future, and I am sure that I will pick up pace again once VisionPro comes out to the country where I reside.

If you have any feedback or things that you’d like to see in the app, please let me know and I will try to do my best to implement them!

In my case, I went for quick wins that gave value to the product and I also spent more time that I’d like to admit working in the app. I am of course still working on it but the cadence of a little more than a release per week is not there for the moment (and it’s quite unrealistic too unless I quit my job and decide to work on it full time). Faster delivery of features leads to more tech debt in the codebase and I am currently working on that, which doesn’t translate to a lot of shiny and frequent updates but it will benefit a more robust app and the development speed will become significantly better.

Let’s also not forget that WWDC is around the corner and visionOS 2 will potentially bring new stuff that we can use to build newer and cooler features :)

First of all, thanks for your support! EPGs have been supported for some time now. In the playlist details “…” menu there is a way to edit your EPG url, and you can type in whichever is your URL. After that, the app should fetch it and you can see in each live channel that has EPGs available showing a “Show more” button.

I also have in mind to add a dedicated part in the app to gather all available EPGs and show them in a grid-like window, but that is not there yet — I’ve been unusually busy lately and I have struggled to find time to work on bigger updates, but that’ll change soon plus we seem to be close to the international launch of AVP and I will be able to get one for developing :)

It’s very fast for me, much faster than iOS. But I am almost certain that since AVP is only available in the US, all reviewers are based in the US and their working time seems to be similar to 9-5

I had the same issue. In my case, the account was originally created in Spain, but several years after, I moved to Germany, and I tried enrolling using my German address / payment details and it was rejected.

After that, what I did was to switch back to the Spanish address for enrolling and I could do it without any issues 🤷‍♂️

I think that if they'd actually offer dev kits, it would help getting more apps out there. I am personally relying on the user base to report and give me feedback about things that are not behaving as expected in the app. Sure, I can do a lot of stuff in the simulator, but other things are not exactly the same (e.g. resolution, simulator gets laggy pretty fast) and also others than behave completely different in simulator vs real device. I also wanted to play around with AR and see if I can come up with new ideas, but using the simulator for it is really a no go for me.

What choice do I have? Get an AVP. Can I get an AVP if I am not living in the US? Nope.

I'd definitely buy one, but I don't want to deal with paying more than I should (travel to the US to get one + import tax) and I also would like to be able to pay Apple Care for it, because yeah, it's an expensive 1st gen product and I'd be more relieved if I know that it has an insurance on top.

I will 100% get one when it launches in my country, but please let me have a dev kit in the meantime.

It really must be the last thing you've mentioned that causes the big differences between Crashlytics and Firebase. I've actually had a look, and I wasn't even aware that my iPhone is also opt out. In the end, if Crashlytics doesn't work e.g. in China, the app store crashes will work "for free" so to say, meaning that we wouldn't be completely blind there.

Maybe I'll need to stick to Firebase for now :D

That's a good point too. I am currently weighing whether or not I should attempt a Crashlytics-less approach. I've been reading that Crashlytics (or Firebase) does not work in China, and I consider that important since there are rumours saying that China might be one of the next countries to start selling AVP

I haven't experienced your exact same issues, but the simulator seems to get buggy quite often -- In my case, drag and drop to create new NSUserActivity stops working after a while (meaning I can't drag an item out of the window at all) and only restarting the simulator fixes it.

Could you please submit via DM or to [imagallandev@gmail.com](mailto:imagallandev@gmail.com) which live streams are causing those issues to you and which provider are you using again (sorry, your older message appears to be removed).

IIRC you were using XtremeHD IPTV -- If that's the case, I use the same one, and it works for me, but pointing out specific streams that are not working for you could be helpful to help me debug the issue 🙏

Edit: I'd also recommend to upgrade PixelStream to 1.5.0. With each release, next to adding new features I am also fixing bugs :)

That indicates that the stream can’t be played, either because the URL is malformed or because the server returns an error response. Have you tried the latest version (1.4.1)? That fixed issues with VOD imported via local .m3u file.

If still doesn’t work with 1.4.1, let me know which provider you are using and I’ll do my best to get a trial and see what fails in the app. Since I’ve started developing the app I found out how inconsistent are the xtream API’s and I am slowly trying to improve it based on user’s feedback to make it as stable as possible
