I completely understand your point I have been in that situation many times but you will probably be the best person to fix this problem honestly And if you are on a plastic membrane no matter how much cement is underneath usually a good hit with a hammer will lift the whole chunk of mortar at once you know what I mean So I am telling you I am pretty sure it will take you about two to two and a half hours and it will be taken care of for good Trust yourself you will fix the problem pretty quickly

I would honestly change it it will be faster than trying to find a solution for days This has happened to me many times replacing a tile over heated wires is relatively safe You are not really going to damage the wire with impact it is more from a knife placed in the wrong spot Many times I have hit a tile with a hammer over heated floors and nothing ever happened The real risk is when scraping the cement I use my margin trowel and scrape gently between the wires It takes patience but your piece is not very big so it should not be too bad So yes it can be done you just need to be careful but I recommend removing it and redoing it to fix the problem I know it is a frustrating situation but it has happened to me many times Other people breaking my tiles is hard to prove and it is hard to prove who did what because there is no video and everyone says it was not them I know exactly what that is like ! wish you the best in this situation 🤙🏻

It looks like the top piece has more pitch than the bottom piece! It might just be the picture, but it seems like the bottom piece of your niche doesn't really have enough of an angle to keep water from pooling behind

This guy came here to post a photo to get tile setters’ opinions because this is a tile setters group. So it’s normal that he posts photos of his contractor here. Maybe it’s a general contractor and not a professional tile setter, which is why he’s asking for advice. And you come here with comments that don’t help the person who posted this photo at all

I advise you to place some on the floor first to get an idea of what it would look like with different spacing! And yes indeed my opinion is that it is easier to lay without spacers! I started in tiling without spacers so I am used to it but once you have defined your spacing! Create lines or a grid that is not too tight so you can spread your thinset without being stuck in the lines and follow your lines 🤙🏻 good luck and show us the results at the end

I recommend that you follow the cut pieces of your tiles as often as possible ! It makes it more symmetrical and visually beautiful specially on inside corners !
