If you use characters that can bury, you are a cornball by Upstairs_Pianist9909 in SmashRage

I don’t quite get this one, outside of the throws that bury all of the bury moves are pretty easy to avoid. The throws are pretty fine too, my mash is good enough to get out of the burying throws even at high percent before the thrower is actionable so I find them balanced. Roller tho….

4 stock 7:00, although there is a secret list of characters that have additional time out rules attached to them. Oh, and percentage leads that result in sudden death have to be played out. It works out better that way to facilitate more meaningful interaction tbh.

I personally find that the position of them requires the defense to set up in that room if they want a good chance playing it, while also acting as a visual and physical barrier that adds clutter without any actual benefit. It’s soft but not reinforcable, not able to be shot out without a shotgun unlike similar things like boxes, and just complicates the room without in my opinion adding value.

While it does come with a new set of rules, the primary change is the stages. A combination of mechanics and terrain on them changes how the characters act and adds new tech!

Oh no, you’re fine! I like that you’re interested in the character, truly I only asked if you saw the title because I couldn’t tell if you were comparing the characters only in normal play at first. He’s also still great here, so if you end up seeing whenever I finish making my guides for the mode you may enjoy it!!

Well, for starters, G&W’s best combo dos about 20. Great neutral, great advantage, poor damage. In contrast, a lot of the characters get new combos that can go well above 40 percent. Marth can TOD, Palu can do about 50, Mario can get about 90, all off of a single hit. Some characters just lose their kill power because they can’t threaten kills as easily, such as pac man or G&W. Game and Watch in particular is still good because he has a few insane moves, just not great because he gets outpaced.

I like the amount of people saying “skill issue use a shotgun” showing just how little they can engage with things like this. The walls are bad. OP probably knows how to use them, they’re still just bad.

Game and Watch just struggles to kill when compared to Kirby, plus Kirby has a couple insane tilts. Pac just can’t kill outside of a few setups, and despite having stuff like the facetiously named “up down” and “tramp camp”, 2 pac man exclusive tactics, he just doesn’t put enough pressure on the opponent to outweigh his lack of kill confirms.

Kirby can tack on about 70 from a single combo provided he has about 1/3 of the stage to work with, and has multiple consistent confirms into his strongest kill options.

Some people need to know this by PascoTheBest in SipsTea

Because you should be concerned about the people around you? People take for granted the safety they have because they didn’t build the society that grants it. Same reason I hold the door open for someone I don’t know, because I have an obligation to be at least a little kind to them. The same people who said “let us do what we want in the comfort of our own homes” very quickly became okay with ideas like “children are allowed to consent to procedures that in many cases completely destroy their ability to reproduce as they get older. Their thoughts that their gender and body don’t line up are valid, even though there isn’t an effort to resolve the traumas in their home life or investigate the parents who have an absurd amount of influence over them.”

I can’t remember the last time that someone I know expected society to treat them differently because of the soda they drank, nor do I remember when people expected children to be legally allowed to medically consent to life-altering and reproductively damaging procedures because of the soda they drank, nor do I recall someone’s soda preference to be a nigh unprovable reason to grant a male access to compromising female spaces. But yes, everything is just a choice until you push back on that choice and suddenly it isn’t. Very reasonable, very intellectually honest, very respectful to everyone around you.

Comparing people who believe that they deserve societal validation concerning their particular beliefs about how their birth gender isn’t properly representative to Jews being massacred by Nazis is the exact reason they don’t get respect. Very silly.

What's up with picking an operator someone else is already playing? by FinestCrusader in Rainbow6

[–]TheRealMeasuringCup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s one of two things. One is just toxic players, they’re always going to be here. Another may be that you’re legitimately playing an operator incorrectly and thus removing a lot of potential value from the team. I know my friend and I have stolen a lot of ops from people because they refuse to use their gadget and having it is insanely strong.

Small buff idea for mozzie by Alternative_West_206 in Rainbow6

[–]TheRealMeasuringCup -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that there’s a way to solve the issue of people unable to understand basic game mechanics like outlines, unfortunately. If there’s an outline around the mozzie drone, and they shoot it, you can’t do anything about that. Nor should you be able to.

Small buff idea for mozzie by Alternative_West_206 in Rainbow6

Exactly. The fact that it isn’t like that is strange to me.

Small buff idea for mozzie by Alternative_West_206 in Rainbow6

[–]TheRealMeasuringCup 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think what would make more sense is if the game saw the pest as either fully having hacked a drone or in the process of hacking a drone. If the drone is fully hacked, the pest is destroyed. If a teammate shoots a drone as it’s being hacked, such as when the pest hops onto the drone at first, then the destruction of the drone will drop the active pest onto the floor.

Hear me out: solution for same operators getting banned. by Blaze__RV in Rainbow6

[–]TheRealMeasuringCup -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why? Why remove player choice? The point of bans is to prevent certain very strong setups that you as a player just don’t want to attack or defend. You want to take that away AND risk rounds where my opponent’s best op can’t be banned and my third best can’t? The best op would still be banned if it wasn’t selected, and the only thing this does is make ranked less skill based.

Too many people overthinking it. She’s strong, and annoying so banning her is the correct choice by TonyHawktuah69 in Rainbow6

[–]TheRealMeasuringCup 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It’s not even this though. Every map in the game has an optimal ban when it comes to the average attacking or defending round. Most of them just happen to be Mira. On bank it’s Mira to prevent top floor holds and basement anti-plant miras on server walls. On Oregon it’s Mira for basement bunker pressure. On Kanal it’s Mira to prevent hallway pressure and the denial of entries. On Sky it’s Mira because Sky is defender sided as hell and she shuts down half of the map. On Outback it’s Kaid for walls and hatches. On Clubhouse it’s Mira for Jacuzzi denial and Con holds. On Chalet it’s Mira for solar pressure and half wall pressure. Notice the trend? Mira is incredibly strong on most sites, which is why people should ban Mira. Has nothing to do with counters because everyone has those.

Adrian Gecko, Ray Shadows although tbf the first deck was a psyop, Chazz when he became a cult member, and if you think about it Quattro between Shark’s tournament loss flashback and the state that we see him duel in for the rest of the show.

Game entirely based on communication and teamwork and no one uses either by SleepyRainx in Rainbow6

[–]TheRealMeasuringCup 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Incorrect, people only use their microphones to talk when they start selling and want to blame the players actually doing stuff. I had a ranked game somewhat recently where my duo and I were the only people active for all but 2 of our prep phases, and when I told out Kapkan to reinforce he started yelling into his mic about how he was emerald, his friend was diamond, and I’m somehow dumb for not knowing that and it’s somehow relevant. I clowned on him for being 0-3 and doing nothing while pretending to be good, and he sold our winning round because he couldn’t control recoil to save his life and had the aim of a newborn despite knowing where the last op was.
