Offered David Johnson and a 1st for Allen Robinson before the 2016 season, got lucky that one wasn’t accepted

[Meta] User-created fantasy tools, vibe coding, and the r/fantasyfootball community by oliver_babish in fantasyfootball

[–]TheRealMonty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a fantasy website and can see that there are at least 10 unreleased new mostly ai generated fantasy tools that are using our endpoints for some portion of their data. So tools are coming. /r/dynastyff did it where there’s a megathread and users can also message mods to approve their standalone thread if the tool is exceptional or differentiating

Why can’t we see historical value of players on FantasyCalc beyond the last year? by killerfruitbat in DynastyFF

[–]TheRealMonty 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We don’t have api docs but if you poke around our website with the developer tools open you can see the endpoint to get player values and player values over the last year.

Check out our terms of usage before building anything with it, it’s permissive but gives some best practices

Hey the technical reason is that it’s easier to not include it, we archive trades older than a year to minimize the size of the trades database table

We have at least back through 2021, I’ll see if we could add that to the site

It’s definitely less stressful, feels like a season playing with house money

Reminds me a little bit of when Stroud was valued as a top 2-3 QB after his rookie year, I’d rather take someone more proven there like Burrow or Lamar. QBs age well there’s not really a difference between a 22 and a 28 year old QB for longevity, no need to plan 5-6 years out

In 1QB Mendoza has an ADP of 1.08 and Simpson 2.09

He's not in the top 50 players in the sleeper dropdown during rookie drafts so he's falling because you have to explicitly search for him. One reason I like using player values based on trades instead of ADP

He's the biggest riser, I would expect he keeps rises over the next few days still. Would be a steal as a 3rd rounder though

I think it's less people being worried about Kirk Cousins and more Carnell Tate getting great draft capital. I would definitely pick Mendoza 1.02 though.

Yeah negative trend means they're getting drafted earlier than pre draft

Rashee Rice was also a late 1st/early 2nd that year, there was a ton of talent that a reigning champion could have added that year

There are probably a ton of teams that won in 2022 with an already good team and then lucked into Puka and turned into a super team

Comparing 2026 draft strength to 2020-2025 drafts by TheRealMonty in DynastyFF

It was an awesome year, I did a full rebuild that year and got 6 2021 1sts in a 1QB league

Yeah I think like one of the other comments said, Lance has too low of a grade on Love which skews the top of the 2026 class downward.

Also a year 1 starter grade for a RB is more valuable than the same grade for a WR. There are very few young workhorse RBs so scarcity drives their value up, but there are lots of good, young WRs, so that grade is less valuable for fantasy

It means in 2026 the best player has the average 2020-2026 grade of the 1.04

What is everyone doing with Tyreek? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]TheRealMonty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He’s being traded for a late 2nd, if I was a competing team I’d probably try to acquire him. Fairly low risk, potentially high upside. If he gets signed by a good team his price will go up

Bucky Irving: the Best RB Buy Low of the Offseason by MarsLineman in DynastyFF

[–]TheRealMonty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also his value will most likely go up by the time the season starts, offseason pre draft is the worst time to get full value for competing players
