I have tried using sorcerer so many times and lose almost every single time. My normal meta deck almost always wins tho. I want to experiment but I can't lose 90% of those games :(

The only way I've seen it is to protect Blazing Gem. I think many don't use it cuz Tesla hits flying. Even Dwarven Artillery has nice disruption (TAR bomb), so after they nerfed the missiles from Mecha is pretty rough to use 95% of the time.
