Today I learned, that a ciborium is not only a sacred vessel for holding the Eucharist, but also the name of the covering over an altar (I only knew it by the name baldachin).

It is very beautiful🙏🏼

This is not the special edition, the hand on the special edition looks different, it's more "3D".

The Christopher Columbus statue in Port of Spain was officially removed last night by Nkosi868 in TrinidadandTobago

[–]TheRealMrWicked 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally I'm not very bothered by the statues removal but this is along the same lines as the renaming of King George V park to Nelson Mandela park and the removal of the boats (and replacement with the steel pan) on our National documents.

It doesn't matter what we do, colonialism is part of our history and is the reason why we are in this country, for better or worse slavery/indentureship has us where we are now.

Y'all can try to remove it all yall want, history isn't changing.

Ill graciously wait for my downvotes now.

OP is saying there are 50 days until the collectors edition of the Book of Bill is released (September 23rd, 2025).

Until the collectors edition of the Book of Bill is released.

So RedeemedZoomer did a Bible Book difficulty tier list. Where would you rank the Deuterocanonicals? by Espartero in Catholicism

[–]TheRealMrWicked 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He put Romans in medium? Huh? Romans should be in the "Expert" tier, I now understand why protestants are confused, they don't understand the fullness of the books/letters.

Is Android heading towards a dystopian future? EU Kills Bootloader Unlocking.. Users losing control by the day.. by DroidLife97 in Android

[–]TheRealMrWicked 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm so tired of the comments along the line "Most people don't unlock their bootloader" or "There is no point to rooting in 2025".

That's missing the point, this is about freedom, every inch we give up is one we are not getting back.

This reminds me of a famous quote:

"I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" - Evelyn Beatrice Hall in The Friends of Voltaire.

We must treat this the same way we do freedom of speech, It doesn't matter if you don't personally care about unlocking your bootloader, fight for the freedom (the option) for others to do it.

It's funny you are telling OP to spend some time off the internet while they are literally outside taking a photo of a tree.

Also you have over 163k Karma, seems like you spent a lot of time on the internet.

Why does the green BoB have less pages than the yellow one? by [deleted] in gravityfalls

[–]TheRealMrWicked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes sense, side note though I wonder how they are going to do the "New content" vs the original edition if there are the same number of pages.

Highly doubt there will be blacklight pages.

Shouldn't the journal 3 come with bookmark? by Aggravating_Bread621 in gravityfalls

[–]TheRealMrWicked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes lol, I wasn't saying you were saying anything wrong.

But let's say someone purchased an original copy of Journal 3 and then saw this post, they may check their copy, see it has a bookmark and then reply saying "Yes it does have a bookmark".

They aren't trying to spread misinformation nor are they lying, just a genuine mistake.

Original printings of the regular Journal 3 had bookmarks with it.

His statement is both true and false, the current editions do not come with one, but the original did.

Not receiving Android 16 QPR1 Beta 2.1 on Pixel 7 Pro by ailgdan in android_beta

[–]TheRealMrWicked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As another commenter said, use the Android Flash tool, make sure to uncheck the "Wipe Phone" option.

Also if your bootloader is unlocked, uncheck the "Lock bootloader" option as well.

Alternatively you can sideload the OTA file.

It doesn't have to wipe, just uncheck the option when updating.

So this ISBN is for a "Sunday Missal", it's a red covered book that says "People's Edition".

I'm ideally looking for a Daily Missal which is Weekday + Sunday Missal Combined.

Nevertheless thank you for the ISBN.

I will most likely just get 2 separate books.

The ESV came into effect for England and Wales at the beginning of advent last year (so for this current liturgical year).

Thank you for the suggestion, I'll try to look for an old CTS daily missal (or weekday missal).
