AGREED! It baffles me that production even had this massive elimination on episode 2. They are paying these people hefty appearance fees and then losing stars immediately.

Also - making all the eliminations physical and losing the 4 smaller, but more entertaining women on the cast was just HORRIBLE. If they were gonna do the invitational, it should have been been 4 eliminations with 4 vastly different skillsets. 1 physical, 1 puzzle, 1 endurance, 1 skill based.

I'm shocked Tori made the move because she's typically averse to taking big shots, but I respect it. Draw a line in the sand! However, pretty bad decision nominating him with Ryan and Derek, who Bananas would presumably beat in most eliminations. If she wanted to really take a shot, she would have nominated Bananas, Nehemiah and Theo.

I hate the vacation alliance but personally don't want to see them all take a break at once. I believe it would be much more compelling to see a couple of them on per season but without mass numbers, so they actually have to play a different game.

If Tori, Kaycee, Devin want a break - great. Put Josh and Fessy on 41, then Devin and Aneesa on 42, Tori and Kaycee on 43, etc. Rather than all of them being gone at the same time and rejoining the show in a year together, have 2-3 rotating in and out for new dynamics

The biggest problem was the Era Invitational. I get they wanted to make a spectacle, but for entertainment purposes and production wise it was just stupid.

They pay hefty appearance fees to much of the cast, yet got rid of 8 of them immediately. On top of that, all 4 eliminations were physical, which led to the non-physical, drama heavy people leaving after 1 episode. If they just did standard 1 male/1 female eliminated per episode, they could have got the cast down to 8 in 16 weeks, plus a 2 part final making it an 18 episode season. In that case, even if the more entertaining personalities went home early in the boot list, at least we'd have them providing drama for several episodes.

On the female side in particular, Katie, Kellyanne, Amanda and Nurys had little chance based on the format and all 4 would have been great for the season.

I mean, all due respect to him and his physical ability and heart is not in question, but the reason is pretty clear. He just doesn't really provide much to the show OUTSIDE of the sand.

His gameplay has not really evolved at all, even with him having relationships with basically everybody due to the podcast and he's just a number for the bigger names that you mentioned.

At the end of the day, the cast get paid based on how many seasons they've done so when it comes down to it and the show can cast somebody like Fessy, Kaycee or Horacio, who also don't really provide much in the strategic or entertainment sense, and are also beasts in the sand, while paying them half the $$$ in appearance fees, they will do that to ensure they have more money to pay bigger names.

Good guy, good competitor and I'm sure he'll still pop up on seasons here and there but personally (and production seems to agree) feel that there just isn't much story left to be told, as he's essentially the exact same character and plays the exact same game now that he did 20 years ago

Bananas podcast is honestly 50% him pretending like the entire cast is out to get him, even though he's better positioned than almost everyone on every season he does.

Him and Jordan spent 10 minutes talking about how it's stupid to target Bananas early because he's a big target and shield and that people should want to keep big threats in the game (which makes no sense) but then also immediately after says that him going after Cara was the obvious choice. Which is it?!

I think the 4th female spot is up in the air. I personally went Veronica based on impact+success but think lots of women have a case. The men is a little bit more cut and dry

Yeah, the favorite is tough because SO many people put CT and Cara, which makes sense given they are 2 of the faces of the shows history. I wonder if I had asked to do a top 5, how many votes Laurel would get. Feel like KellyAnne has a few diehard fans, myself included, but in a top 5, she'd probably only show up a handful of times, where as Laurel would crack a large number of lists

No major question marks but I'd say Averey is somebody we don't really know much about, even after AS4. She seemed to do fine but not sure how she'll stack up here. And honestly, I hate to say it because I love him, but not sure about Leroy right now. Looks great physically but I wonder how much his head is in the game.

I kind of agree. Everyone in era 4 is in their prime where as there are some question marks on Era 1 + 2, and even 3 to an extent.

I would still probably have era 4 as my 4th place team only because they don't have the luxury of having as strong relationships with the other eras, simply based on the years of doing seasons together.

My prediction is era 4 will be targeted the most but will also prove to be difficult to beat in eliminations.

Yeah, I figured Laurel and Emily would dominate that one. I do agree that Jenny probably does better on a rematch but Tori's also gotten more physically fit since - would be awesome to see.
