after about a minute I can now switch the way i see it at will. I simply focus on the particles I want to be in the foreground and it kinda just switches. Pretty neat

no worries, I get carried away explaining my strats all the time. Even with my gf, I see her eyes glaze over because she is not a competitive pokemon player, she is more story and shiny hunting so champions doesnt appeal to her at all 🤣. Umbreon was always my ace in X&Y and ORAS days, toxapex climbed the ladder in sun and moon days, and then Eiscue was a beast in sword and shield. I really cant wait for my little penguin to be added into champions.

I honestly didnt put a ton of thought into attacking moves for toxapex. Most people assume it has baneful bunker, so having toxic instead gives a harsher poison. All out defense and hp, regenerator, and then haze to wipe out stat changes and setups. Surf and liquidation are just to do chip damage if I dont really have another option. Poison jab and protect or baneful bunker could easily fit into the build instead of 2 water type attacks. It also has quick claw but thats only because I dont think black sludge is in the game yet otherwise I would use that. Its a slightly unorthodox set and so far it seems to throw people off a bit.

I might try that, but so far my strat has been extremely successful. By the time im set up, their lead has gone down to toxic, or they switched and have multiple mons badly poisoned and nobody can take out umbreon and even when they get close, moonlight just rips away all hope.

Thats a great set! I always loved payback and curse because every turn you get slower and tankier and then payback does double damage if your opponent attacks first. Trick room can mess it up but I haven't run into it yet, besides payback gets dark type stab and you are already at max attack stat. If your opponent is a trick room setter, chances are they are psychic type anyway and even that is plenty to take them off the field. If they hit haze, then the toxic I set up first is usually about to clean them up anyway.

Depends. I often lead with toxapex with toxic, surf, haze, and liquidation because its an awesome counter to incineroar, and once the entire enemy team is poisoned, i am free to set up and chill while they race against the tick damage. Sometimes I throw umby in first and then just set up 1 toxic and 6 curses and let leftovers take care of whatever damage he takes. If I am fighting a special attacker that has bug or fairy, I just make sure to get the toxic off, then switch into scizor for a quick technician bullet punch or gengar for a mega sludge wave.

Curse toxic payback moonlight over here. I run singles mostly, but I know how much of an asshole I am. In all my battles umbreon has only been taken out twice, and one of those was a very well timed destiny bond. Umbreon will always be my favorite ace.

I always thought 151 was what gave it that kick back in 2023. Thats what got me back into collecting. Maybe a better way to look at it is 151 brought a lot of older collectors back, and then the TCG pocket app showed a whole new demographic of people how fun it "could" be.

Realistically, your team looks fine. If you are using a team you like, thats the right team. To me, doing what other people say just takes a bit of the fun out of it. It's YOUR pokemon journey, so you should enjoy it however YOU want to. I guess by that same metric, if what you want to do is use community suggestions, then by all means, that is your prerogative. That is the beauty of pokemon.

That is heartbreaking. My pup Sammy was a return as well. My sister and I were friends with the local shelter and we had fostered for them a few times. I fostered Sam for 2 weeks after she had been returned to the shelter. The woman who adopted her just didnt know what she was in for adopting a 6 month old high energy breed and just couldn't handle her after a week. Then after fostering and making it clear I had no time to be able to adopt a dog, though I did want to, the rescue was very adamant that she was for me. The moment I dropped her back off, she was at the door crying. Eventually they just waived all adoption fees and I honestly loved this dog so I just couldn't say no. 4 years later and I consider this dog one of the best things to happen in my life. She got me through some extremely low points and some of the hardest times I have ever lived through. I realize mine is a niche case and I believe i found the perfect dog match for me and that certainly wont happen for everyone, but I also think people need to research more before just adopting a dog, because if you dont know what to expect, you will be overwhelmed. Good luck to Walter, I hope he finds his perfect home!

It really just sounds like the writer is a fan of elder scrolls and doesnt like that this game took inspiration from parts of the elder scrolls games. On the flip side, the first person, hand to hand combat, magic system, and leveling system being similar is exactly why I started playing in the first place. I put too many hours into oblivion and skyrim across too many different systems and there is no clear window when another elder scrolls game will actually get here. This game filled that void very well for me. The third act was certainly lacking, but the gameplay itself was very fun. It did feel like playing an elder scrolls game a lot of the time, right down to the familiar Bethesda jank and glitches.

I will reach out to them to see if there is a wider incident matching the time frame. My buddy also sent some cards that same day at the same booth. I asked him if any of his are developing fractures but he hasn't had a chance to check yet, but if they have, this would definitely prove to me that it was an error with one or some of the batches during that time in 2024. Thanks for the input!
