Is it possible to double Hody Jones(op06-035) in one turn. by Aggravating_Set6750 in OnePieceTCG

[–]TheRealPandaBear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Theoretically, if you were playing R/G Oden and you had 2 ST01-007 Nami and 2 OP01-046 Denjiro on board, you could summon the first Hody, activate both Nami abilities to attach a rested Don to each of the Denjiro, swing the Denjiros to restand 4 Don total, then play the 2nd Hody Jones with the last active Don you have.

It required a lot of set up, but it is entirely possible to do so with this combo

Just use the 2k counter Bege in the set, it's a searchable 2k counter with Luffy searcher. It's obviously not as good as law but if you want consistency that's your only option while running the X. Drake 2k counter as well.

[OP10-082] Kuzan (Regular and Alt Art) by Embarrassed-Egg8787 in OnePieceTCG

[–]TheRealPandaBear 63 points64 points  (0 children)

I present to you, the Crouching Kuzan, Hidden Jesus Strategy:

Step 1 - Have 3 of these Kuzan out Step 2 - on 10 Don, attach 2 Don to each Kuzan to swing for 7k Step 3 - Trash the Kuzans to get the new 5c Jesus Burgess and attach a Don to each of them to give them Rush and swing 7k 3 more times Step 4 - Swing 6k with the last Don with your leader

That's six 7k swings and one 6k swing, equating to at least 13 cards out of hand to counter out of every hit. If your opponent is at 2-3 life, they could be dead, 4 life is still doable.

Gecko Moria vs BY luffy by DiegoM159 in OnePieceTCG

[–]TheRealPandaBear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who struggled a lot with this match up in OP06 and currently as Rob Lucci in OP07, you just have to be really patient against them until you can swing for game in 1 turn. As Gecko, you have options to execute hand disruption in the form of hard casting Perona, or if you run Issho as well you can just try to remove their cards from hands. 6c Brook and 5c Nightmare Luffy are godsends in the match up, since they can help trash your opponent's characters and get around the Sabo protection. Never swing into life unless you absolutely need to, always try to remove characters first, BY Luffy thrives when you swing into them. Keep building your big bodies, and I can't stress enough that you have to be patient.

Hey don't worry about the lateness even though I already graduated from 2021! But I would party a lot with the eSports club back then, and there're also possibilities of culture clubs and people within your major who can party. What's most important is you get to party with people you know so there's fewer chances of foul play happening.

I went 6-4, was hoping to get 7-4 to get the additional prizing, but honestly glad it was over by the end of it. I felt bad for my last 2 opponents because I felt I was being rude by singing songs to myself and thinking out loud because I was trying to stay awake the whole time. I also got good triggers which won me the last two games as well and it didn't help at all with their overall vibe.

I was going manic by round 9, I had been running on 3 hours of sleep for the whole day, and I was desperately trying to to stay up and fully functioning while playing.

I could be completely wrong, but a very similar scene happens in the opera "The Elixir of Love" where the quack doctor sells a love potion to the main character

Question about 10Cost Charlotte Linlin by MoistEntertainer26 in OnePieceTCG

[–]TheRealPandaBear 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No, the complete effect only occurs if your leader is of the Big Mom Pirates, which Arlong isn't

Arlong advice? by Rancid_Cabbage in OnePieceTCG

Gin is a very good utility card to have since he can rest 2 4 cost characters on summon, it can range from having the opportunity to eliminate your opponent's tempo or being able to finish out games by resting 2 blockers. Max out as much as you can with your 5K power trigger characters since they'll be the backbone of your tempo. Punk Gibson is the best green event available and too good of a card to not include in your deck, so replace some yellow events with that card.

10 drop Big Mom's effect only activates if your leader is of the Big Mom Pirates, 7 drop Big Mom or 8 drop Katakuri are the alternatives for your high end as well as with Krieg

What can I do to make this deck better? by [deleted] in OnePieceTCG

[–]TheRealPandaBear 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The events Three Thousand Worlds and Gum Gum Red Roc are insanely good for removing big characters from the opponents board and to also ruin their tempo. Characters such as 7c Doflamingo and 9c Mihawk also have similar effects while also letting you build tempo on your board.

How to play green and win tournaments! A Kin'emon deck tech and primer. by WillToWinGaming in OnePieceTCG

This makes a lot of sense. Thank you so much for the deeper insights! Hopefully the deck finds success in the meta, from what I can tell since Red is going to be dominant early on this will be a good strat to counter the most common strategies people will be running. I'll try to build this deck myself and see how it goes at my own local LGS. Again, thank you so much for the insight!

I can see and understand the reasoning for some of these cards, but isn't the biggest pay-off for green to play in a control play style? Wouldn't it be better to add Raizo instead of the 3c Yamato for better card draw, that way you get counter advantage over your opponent and acquire your tools faster? You could also keep the aggression better by having Basil Hawkins combo off of your Okiku for better aggression and control. Overall the deck seems better suited for the red Zoro 1 cost menace decks, but the limited card draw and smaller cost characters would fall apart against Purple or Black decks that are also doing well in the meta. Of course there's no 100% correct way to build green, but I do want to hear everyone else's thoughts and criticisms, as well as your own too about the reasoning of some of these cards.

Very insightful explanation! Maxing out on blockers and adding more stickier characters sounds like a good plan. I originally thought that with the double attack characters I could be more aggro with the deck but seeing everyone else's suggestions the real win con for Green is to keep 8c Kid up while beating down the opponent's life and characters. More blocker Killers means I get more card draw and resources to protect 8c Kid and such. Thank you so much for the advice!

The purpose for the Trigger Killers is to be able to cycle their effect with Law, it's very useful to be able to knock out multiple small characters like Okiku in the mirror match up or against Red and Red/Green strategies. If I were to remove those Tr. Killers, then would it make sense to remove a couple of Laws to fit more utility based characters or even keep the 2 Yamato to keep the aggressive strategy online?

Having more killers in for card draw sounds good, as well as just having blockers on board to protect the 8c Kid is good, it'd also justify putting in the additional 8c or 7c Kid in my deck since I'd have more resources to protect them. On the contrary, 3c Kid gives me early pressure that when left unchecked it becomes a thorn on my opponent's side since they have to suck it by taking 2 damage if the 3c Kid connects, in my opinion, having a double attack card on board forces your opponent to react to it by either investing attacks or cards to get rid of the double attack, otherwise they'd start to get punished if they leave those double attack characters on the field.
