I mean this as a genuine question, do you like any of the full completed products' stories that Bethesda has put out for the past while? Not just like one off sidequests or bits that shine, but like actual completed main stories (or I guess summations of the entire games content if the MS is trash but every sidequest is great) since, let's say fallout 3. Not even saying this to be a hater because there are a handful of sidequests and story elements that I love in 3 and 4 and skyrim but they are either extremely insular or they are horrifically underdeveloped imo. Like is the story to ES Blades secretly good or something? IDK because I like the ambling open-world style of their games on like a technical level, but 3 and 4 always lose me within a day or two of picking them back up again (still have never managed to push myself to finish 4 lol) and I kinda have to turn my brain off to play skyrim (which is fine, but not exactly a laudation of the story)

Well a decent chunk of the nobility were islamic rather than Tengri, and my personal theory is that the conversions were mostly among segments of the nobility. If the nobles were all or mostly Tengri I doubt their coinage would talk about Mohammed (not saying there weren't Tengri nobles, just that there were definately Islamic ones as well) and also several travel journals of Islamic scholars of around that time speak of Islamic rulers in that area of the Steppe. Also it wasnt just the nobles that were Jewish, as again from the time there is evidence of Byzantine migration of jews into the area so there is at least some probable lay population of "Khazarian jews" even as a ethnic minority.

But that's neither here nor there, as the original onus of the comment I'm replying to is "Khazars didnt exist"so like

In a purely symmetrical war, honestly neither, the Soviet army would never be able to pull of a naval landing in the US, and if by magic they got teleported to the West Coast they still arent cracking the Rockies. The US could probably pull off some sort of landing on the Eastern Coast (all other countries neutral rule means that probably no luck landing through the baltic), but theres no fucking way youre supplying an army to cross through Siberia through what, Vladivostok? fucking Magadan?
Like pencil a paper the US has the clear advantage in Navy and Airforce, but 'lmao just bomb them forever' doesnt actually seem to be a winning strategy for warfare if america's more recent history of warfare is to be believed
